The reviews are all correct but listening to a recommendation from a local, we waited in line on a Thursday. It was packed so we expected 1 hr+ wait. The staff are very rude to tourists, I have never had such bad service. We were polite, I tried greeting them in broken Italian and I knew it would be a while before they came to our table. But even after 6 tables were seated and given menus napkins and silverware, we still had a dirty table with no tablecloth. We waited more and after noticing the 5th table who came after us got their appetizers, we called someone and asked for menus please. Then waited another 12 minutes. They took the order after 34 minutes. Partners food came out first and it was the saltiest vongole I have ever tried. Being from USA I like salty things (haha!) But this was really.really.salty. But thinking we were just dumb tourists who don't know anything, partner ate most of it. He was more than half way done and still, my pizza was not done. I tried getting waiter's attention and he rolled his eyes and said 2 minutes. After getting this same reaction for over 10 minutes, I entered the restaurant wanting to cancel (what's the point of having dinner with my date if we stare at the other and eat separately? When I walked in he was leaning on the counter chatting with the pizza maker, and I noticed a single pizza pushed to the side who knows how long it's been there. When waiter noticed me coming near he told the chef to hurry and give him the plate. I stopped him and said too late, my date already finished his dinner, I want to cancel. (By this time it is 11pm.) What pizza takes 45 minutes to prepare, not even with a full house of guests? He said fine take it home and threw it at me to take. I said no thank you please give the check. He took the pizza back and on bill he still charged the pizza. If you are a tourist, please be aware. My date really wanted to try this well known place so that's the only reason we stuck around until it became out of control, but go with a local or try other wonderful places nearby for a third of the price. After I saw my pizza in the corner and after he threw the pizza at me, I almost cried from frustration. This place is very hyped up and not good at all. Terrible service and...
Read moreTerrible experience, any tourist or vistor to Naples, DO NOT COME HERE! They made us wait about 30 minutes to get seated and about 45 minutes for the pasta to be delivered, my gf ordered a meal called pasta, potetos and cream which didn’t mention any meat in it and meat was presented in it, we asked for it to be changed and they tried force us to take it as takeaway because they didn’t want to admit their mistake. When i refused to take it, the waiters got mad and persisted, then made a scene throwing us out because ‘we have no money’. Even before that the waiters were rude and showed prejudice to both of us, the pasta i ate was gross and i could have cooked a better job. Once again, if you are a tourist DO...
Read moreA real gem! Just a few meters from the Air BnB where we stayed is O'Luciano. It was a Saturday evening, people were queueing up outside, got help from a gentleman to get our number and patiently waited for 45 mins. It was worth it! The grilled prawns and sword fish were fresh and delicious. We oredered a fresh salad bowl. The house white wine was just perfectly chilled. For dessert was a heavenly Tiramisu just melted in my mouth. The lemon pie was delicious too. We are coming back for the blue mussels that seems to be very popular because trays were constantly flying pass us the whole time we were there. The servers were professional and polite. Definitely a...
