RUN! Would rather starve than having eaten there!! Terrible food with rude and disrespectful service. Deserves even barely a 0.5 star for a so called Italian restaurant.
Got a carbonara which was overcooked that it was like adding pasta to scrambled eggs 𤢠and an evident lack of any taste. Also had ordered a zito Napoletana, another worst ever pasta dish!! It was basically just some pasta with tomato sauce that might as well have just been from a jar with no even basic spices and 3 leaves of basil, almost no meat at all! It is supposed to be veal ragù and since the moment the dish was served on the table it already didnāt look like any ragu pasta dish I ever had so I sorted through the pasta and barely found some veal amounting to less than a fingerās worth and felt like left over pieces from someoneās dish 𤢠Ended up going to a waitress who was like idk I need someone to speak English back to you just to end up talking to someone who is allegedly competent to tell me well yeah thatās the veal (the miniscule amount of āmeatā) and that ragu means tomato sauce and tried to blame it on me being a tourist and not italian as if I never had proper pasta before nor ragu ever in my life, so disrespectful!! Didnāt even try to resolve any issue and just got ruder and saying that if I expected meat in the sauce at all that is bolognaise and not ragu at all!!! Also the plate served had nothing to do with the veal ragu picture shown on their digital menu, anyone could tell apart pure tomato sauce from one that has been cooked with any meat.
Not worth any penny at all and thereās way more food in Napoli that is cheaper and obviously muchhhhh better than this. If one were to cook as a beginner and out of an unequipped home kitchen itād turn out better than this.
( the barely there meat piece shown in the bottom right corner of the alleged ragù pasta dish is like 1/4 to 1/5 of any meat that could be found in the dish)
Hope this place stops being a tourist trap because it is so infuriating ā¼ļø Plus the door of the restaurant would not work at all with the sensors they got and had to wait for another customer there to open it while the employees just kept ignoring the evident flaw blocking people going in and out of the restaurant properly.
A waste of time and money...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHonestly came here due to the google reviews but I believe itās rated far too high. This was our first sit down restaurant in Naples and maybe my expectations were too high since weāve been dining in Sorrento, Positano and Rome. But when you see a 4.6/5 you get a little excited to visit.
Upon entry the male owner seated us and showed us their digital menus. He was genuinely a nice guy and one of the main positives about this restaurant. The negatives however drastically outweigh the positives. They have two digital menus, one for pizzas and one for the rest of the menu. Donāt understand why they couldnāt combine into one? Had to have two tabs open in safari and scan two QR codes for what?
Positive note was the pepperoni pizza. Was cooked in the traditional Neapolitan style with San Marzano tomatoes. Flavor was good and overall a pretty good pizza.
I was told the pasta dish with the king prawns was fresh pasta but it tasted like dried. The prawns were ok, couldnāt tell if they were frozen or fresh but Iām leaning towards frozen as they didnāt hold up great while peeling.
Service after our initial order was horrible. Nobody came to check up on us during the meal. Needed more napkins as we were only given two and peeling prawns is messy business. When it came time to paying the bill this was the worst part. The three women working there were like clucking hens chatting away in the back. Had to call them over for the bill which she just dropped on the table and didnāt ask if I was paying cash or card. I was paying card, so I figured sheād come back soon. She didnāt. I had to literally wave my card at her to bring the machine over. After swiping my card she said ok and left. Didnāt give me my receipt or ask if I wanted it. So I had to go ask her for the receipt which she then huffed and went to get it for me.
Overall, pizza was decent, not the greatest. Pasta was mediocre. Service was trash from the female staff,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVoted best pizza in Italy! By me! Let me explain. My wife and I traveled the entire country on scooters (6000km) in spring of '22. We started in Milan and visited approximately 100 cities and towns and stayed at about 30 hotels. We had some form of pizza almost every day. We weren't on an official search of any kind, just looking for decent food that stood out. We had some good, some terrible but one place stood out WAY above all the rest: Gaetano Adamo in Naples. We found about this place as an accidental reference from a hotel manager who lives near the restaurant. He told us "go and tell Nando to make you a great pizza". We did just that and were blown away! The taste of every ingredient stood out, even the crust had superb flavor and was cooked perfectly. We liked it so much we came back each day! I took the time to talk the owner, Nando about his concept. Simple he said: the best ingredients, regardless of cost and "light" pizzas - no overwhelming ingredients, not too many at once (most pizzas have 2-4 toppings). I can only say he pizzas win best in Italy, no other place comes close. Oh, his restaurant is spotlessly clean and very well decorated with a simple and bright feel. Just like his pizza! His pride is overflowing and it shows...
