PASTARÉ — Restaurant in Naples

No one in the stuff spoke English at the level that would let as have basic interaction about food (like ordering what you want). We needed to try and guess what the waitress tried to communicate to us. Even though the food was good we’ve run into another problem while trying to pay. We have made a reservation with app that granted us 30% discount (TheFork). Before paying I showed the app with the reservation and the discount to the waitress and she mumbled something in Italian. I thought that finally communicated on something. Turned out that she did nothing with the information about the discount and I ended up paying full price for the meal. BEWARE OF SERVICE CHARGE!!! Bill was €26, waiter came back with receipt and wrote €30 on the back. I asked what for and he said service fee. I laughed and said no and he said okay. These people will try to see if they can charge you more when they know you’re a tourist. I also asked the waiter to explain what some items on the menu were but didn’t order them. When I ordered my food, he brought me some of the items I only asked about. I made it clear I did not want those items but he was confused. Could have been genuine confusion or he was just bringing me more food to drive up the bill. Seafood pasta was alright. Would not recommend...
