Probably one of the worst hospitality services you will ever experience. The service is horrendous. We were waiting at least 30 minutes to order. The salad we ordered came relatively quickly but it was different to what was described on the menu. We did not complain since it seemed descent-ish. The pasta choices are very limited and nothing of particular interest. The pizza dough was good but the toppings were of poor quality. When we tried to pay, us and a group that sat nearby, were looking for the waiter at least for an additional 30 minutes. Two other groups left because they were waiting for more than half an hour without ordering. When we eventually found the waiter, I went in to pay by card and I was standing still by the till for 10 minutes because the POS was not working. The waiters do not speak a word of English and when I tried to speak Italian they responded in a local dialect. I could ignore everything if at least the service was not that hostile. Avoid this place at all costs. Better eat McDonald's...
Read moreA lot of people complain about the service here but, man, this is central Naples. It's chaotic. It's loud. It's beautiful. Sitting outside at Babà was one of my favorite meals I had in Naples. The atmosphere out there is great. I marvelled at a small family crammed onto a single scooter while they swerve and laugh amongst themselves as I ate one of the best diavola pizzas I've ever had in my life. As I was accompanied by some locals, they were very much adept at getting the waiters attention - and I think that's what it's all about. Don't be afraid to ask for what you want and don't expect to be attended to every five minutes like some diner in America. Pizza Babà is a fantastic restaurant in a vibrant neighborhood. If you're wandering the streets right now, looking through reviews, don't look any further. Just pull the trigger. The pizza's good. The neighborhood is vibrant. And you might just get yourself in a very animated conversation with a local. Don't sleep...
Read moreThis restaurant is located in a small street, very cozy and cute ambience. But I would say do not be fooled by this. I’m posting this after a disappointed dinner and after my sibling fell ill 12 hours later. We ordered a gnocchi and penne pasta, both veg. We had bread come in because of the pasta and I noticed how doughy it was. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be like it on the insides but that wasn’t good. Towards the end of my meal, I noticed meat pieces in my pasta settled at the bottom. When i raised this to the waiter, she said it’s prochestto and denied it’s meat. But I could clearly see that it’s meat. The restaurant wasn’t even sorry about any of this. And in this bill split up, they charge you for water and a cover charge for the ambiance. The waiter asks you to tip her which is new to me here in Europe. I noticed the staff were a bit rude to other customers. My sibling fell ill 12 hours later and it seemed like food poisoning. I would not recommend...
