Pizzeria Laezza — Restaurant in Naples

My wife and I went here on April 2, our first night in Naples. It was two blocks from our hotel and had a small, covered seating area outside. We gave it a shot and were glad that we did so.

This was the best pizza we had in Naples. We went to several other places with significant history and reviews, and this was better.

As others have indicated, the menu is primarily a huge variety of pizzas. I am not sure if they have the menu in English at the restaurant, but we searched it and quickly found it online. If you know little or no Italian, this is worth doing because there are so many different toppings/preparations. When you see other pizzas coming out, you may be tempted to order one for two people, but definitely order one pizza per person and mix it up.

Our waiter was attentive, friendly, and helpful.

After we finished our pizzas and a red table wine, I was ready to call it a night. My wife spotted a pastry dessert with nutella and ordered it. Something like 'bombettes.' I was expecting some dense, doughy item, but was pleasantly surprised when they were actually light and airy, similar to a Beignet.

Awful service! No POS!!!! Foods is ok, the pizza is good like other restaurants in Napoli. But the service is awful! Firstly, I asked their stuff that I need a table outside. Their staff told me spotted the cashier desk, and let me order foods inside, instead sitting on the table. Secondly, I ordered the foods on the cashier desk and paid the bills. Then their cashier didn't give me the POS, even I required it! Because the don't want to pay for taxes! Lastly, I took foods and sit down on the table. Tow minutes later, their staff asked me get out of the table, his excuse that was I don't pay the service fee!! I persisted sitting on the table, 3 staffs came over and asked me get out the table in the 10 minutes later. I'm not an local Italian. But I can speak Italian language well. All the communication was in Italian language. As a customer, I felt so disappointed! Never recommend...

The worst restaurant experience I had on my Italy trip. Tourist trap! The pizza is okay but nothing special for Neapolitan standards, the service is more than just terrible! I was the first customer that evening, ordered pizza and soon the restaurant filled up with other customers who received their pizza all before me. After almost an hour the waiter told me it will come soon. It didn't... The third time he told me it will come in a minute I said I will leave now but he insisted me to wait one more minute. Finally the pizza came, as I mentioned it was okay but nothing special. Then when I payed he gave me the change but was asking for a tip. I told him no tip cause I had to wait ages, he then started to beg for a tip saying I should give him at least one Euro please. That's unacceptable. That guy had no...
