If I could leave 0 stars I would.
My friends and I are visiting from Australia and were very excited to try Napoli’s infamous fried pasta. Through much research, we found this place with amazing reviews and a seemingly fantastic menu. We arrived at 8:10pm and asked for a table for 3. The lady looked through the reservations book and gave us a table. We are notorious for over ordering therefore we wanted to start with a few dishes adding more as need be. We excitedly ordered 3 potato croquettes, 3 fried pasta balls and 1 other dish to share. After ordering, the lady shared our order with each worker one at a time at the restaurant and each time she did, we were stared at and laughed at. Soon when more customers came wanting a table, the owner shared his experience with us to the new customers and they threw their hands in the air in a disappointing way. We were constantly stared at by the customers and employees as they waited for us to finish.
While we understand we didn’t order as much as others, we are 3 girls with small appetites who are travelling customers on a budget. We are entitled to try specialties in new cities without looks of judgement, belittlement and made to feel unwelcome.
During all this, we rushed to eat our food within 10 mins, and left. We were at the restaurant for less than 25 mins from sitting down to ordering to eating to leaving.
The food wasn’t bad, but needless to say we...
Read moreI genuinely felt like I was back in high school during my experience here. Do you remember walking in late to class having everyone stare and judge? Yeah that was my experience here.
My friends and I are visiting from Australia and wanted to try fried pasta after days of eating pizza. We came to Sandropizzettata with incredibly high hopes. However, we were met with snarky employees who were clearly speaking badly about us the entire time. We felt like we were occupying space (even though we were paying customers). The workers made us feel small & judged. Not to mention they watched us like we were in a zoo as they wanted to give our table to another group.
Mind you we’d been there about 15 minutes….
It was clear we didn’t order “enough” to make our dining experience worth anything to them. I have never been made to feel so bad for simply existing in a restaurant. The employs were very clearly talking about us, even cracking jokes, one even rolled their eyes when they saw the amount we ordered…
My friends and I left feeling dumbfounded at what just happened. If you aren’t a local or Italian, don’t go here, they aren’t too nice to foreigners :)
To be clear, we all left feeling full with a decent serve of food… we each had 2 servings of fried pasta and a share plate. So, these heinous reactions seem pretty unjustified,...
Read moreThe pizza here is absolutely perfect – tasty, rich, and full of flavor. Every bite was satisfying, with a great balance of quality ingredients and a perfectly baked crust. It’s the kind of pizza that makes you pause just to appreciate how good it really is. You can tell they take pride in what they serve.
What makes this place even better are the prices – they are more than affordable, especially considering the quality you’re getting. It’s a great value, and there are so many different options on the menu that you’ll definitely want to come back to try more. Whether you're a fan of classic toppings or something a bit more creative, there’s something for everyone.
The staff deserve a special mention as well. They are incredibly friendly and welcoming, but what I really appreciated was how polite and respectful they were. Unlike many tourist spots, they don’t pressure you or call you in from the street. Instead, they maintain a relaxed and professional atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable and at ease.
All in all, this is a fantastic, authentic local pizzeria that I’d recommend without hesitation. Great food, great service, and a place you’ll want to return to...
