Volta — Restaurant in Naples

We really wanted to like this spot, but had an odd and underwhelming experience with my family on April 3, 2025. We arrived around 11 am and were seated on the patio. It was a beautiful day, but unfortunately VERY smoky. We were informed that only the breakfast menu was available despite it being so late in the morning. That menu was quite limited. One of us was told we could not get our eggs scrambled or over hard. That only soft, unbroken yolk would be served. I’ve never visited a restaurant that doesn’t have options for the egg preparation. Several in our party wanted to order the pancake with berries and maple syrup. In the most baffling move of all, they were served toast cut in the shape of a circle. Dry toast. When we asked the waitress, she insisted that was their take on pancakes. Someone asked for the syrup at least and it was never brought to the table. The only thing I can think is that they were between the breakfast and lunch menu and served us whatever was left over from the morning fare. The juice was good and the ham sandwich was tasty. I made a reservation here thanks to the more diverse menu with some non-Italian offerings. We ordered a lot due to getting 30% off reserving through TheFork. Unfortunately everything was just kinda average, nothing really stood out. Hummus had nice texture but lacked any real flavor, sad to taste no lemon in the lemon capital of the world. Caesar salad was not fresh and the dressing tasted pretty flat. Putanesca foccacia was lacking tomato flavor and the bread was just okay. Beef fillet was cooked well but lacked a even coat of seasoning, so some slices were underseasoned. I did enjoy the french fries quite a bit, those were the highlight. We ordered too much food for 2 people so no dessert.

Vibe was more of a hipster approach inside, outside seating was bustling and kinda noisy on a Thursday evening.

This place is the absolute bees knees. The staff were incredibly friendly and their attention to detail was impeccable. Their service was probably the best we’ve received in Italy.

The venue has a great vibe, slightly removed from the hustle and bustle of main streets whilst maintaining close proximity to all the places you want to be. I also really enjoyed the design and decor of the place, very aesthetically pleasing but also very comfortable.

Finally, the food was absolutely incredible, well portioned and good value for money. Superb ingredients and the dishes really felt like they were made with love. They also were really good about accomodating vegetarian alterations for my partner, and also had plenty of veg options from the get go.

Another shout out again to the waitstaff because they were awesome.
