Poor service and way too pricey
We had lunch there three days a go, and we were very disappointed. The place is nicely located and the atmosphere in the piazza is very nice. The food was OK, nothing to write home about. Two things were an issue; Service- we ordered grilled vegetables. We got a plate that was 80% carrots, which is the cheapest vegetable that you can buy, and some onion and old celery. We hardly touched it, the waiter asked us why, and we told him that we don’t eat carrot, and had we knew that it contains mostly carrots we wouldn’t order it, but still, he didn’t offer any alternative or took it off the bill. For desert we had a tiramisu. Half way through we found some fibers of some fabric in it. We have returned it of course, but no one has come to us to apology or offer anything else instead, they also included it in the bill. Amazing We are aware of the touristy nature of the place, but we had a dinner the day before in a nearby restaurant with superior food, and more courses, and paid 30% less. A glass of wine coats 40% more, desert costs also 40% more, mains 25% more etc.
Bottom line- even though it is a touristy place and they probably don’t rely on returning customers, this is too much....
Read moreWe sat here for lunch on Saturday, it took them forever to host us, but nothing compared to how long it took our order to come out. We got the bread/tomato soup which was nice, and then waited for about 45m for 2 super small pasta dishes, while the table next to us who ordered after us got their food (same dish!) before us. The papardele Al ragu was very simplistic and unimpressive, and the tartufo cacio e pepe pasta was undercooked (not al dente, simply undercooked) with completely flavorless truffles. Really subpar especially...

I had the all'amatriciana, and my husband had the pappardelle ragu, which was delicious. I would come back again for the food! My husband also had the best wine his had in italy called orvieto classico white wine.
Restaurant and toilets were very immaculate, which is always great.
The owner used QR codes for the menu for environmental reasons, which I have no problem with, but perhaps have some menu sheets for the...
