The waitress spilt red wine on which stained all my clothes. No sympathy and no action taken to help us out and basically dismissed. Make sure you’re wearing black if you come here or I would say don’t bother coming because of the rude staff.
Edit: my issue is not with the waitress. I’ve worked in hospitality for years and know this can happen to the best of us, particularly on a cobbled street.
However after the accident, the other staff, particularly the management and the owner, showed absolutely no interest in helping me at all, as if I was supposed to just sit covered in wine. There was no sympathy or apology, no desire to find a resolution to this accident at all.
Besides the accident, there was no menu at all, and the waiter that took our order before the accident lacked any interest in serving. He asked if we were after wine/beer, no mention of cocktails. The attitude made me feel as an inconvenience, and put me off asking more questions about the extent of the menu besides beer and wine. Overall, there are many better bars, just metres away on the same street, don’t...
Read moreDefinitely a recommendation! Between all the 3€ Aperol and the nice bars in the alleys, you often don't know where to start in Palermo. That's why, unfortunately, we also discovered Botteghe Colletti late. And that, although it is a very stylishly furnished bar, which is actually noticeable when exploring the alleys. And not only the bar itself, but also the cocktails are something for the eye! When we were there for the first time, we thought we would be poor at the end of the evening. But the cocktails are more than fairly priced at 6-8€. But for that you get much more than in some other places with the same or higher prices. The waiter Patrick recommends everyone a cocktail and was always right with us. But also all the other waiters were extremely friendly, funny and fast - you never had to wait long for cocktails and chips. The cocktails themselves are prepared and served with a lot of effort and that is noticeable in the taste. If you want to drink a good cocktail in a nice ambience, you should...
Read moreI’ve been there everyday during my time in Palermo. They have top tier quality cocktails for an extremely fair price, as far as I can tell everything they use is made by themselves e.g every cordial, syrup, freshly squeezed lime and lemon juice, they infuse liquors in house. It doesn’t get much more high end than that.
The atmosphere is amazing, the staff extremely friendly, even when it gets super packed on the weekends. It seems like no one is bothered at all when they have to wait a little longer for their drinks because it’s just so good to spend time there.
Also Patrick does an amazing job managing the crowd, super friendly, he finds time to talk to you, no matter how busy the place gets. You feel really appreciated there. Great team in general.
Everyone who has ever worked at a bar can definitely appreciate the work their amazing team is doing.
Must visit for everyone stopping...
