Worst service I ever encountered - don't be misled by the positive reviews

It all started when we searched for a nice pasta restaurant on our last night in Sicily, we saw this place and thought it looked cute, centrally located and went to check it. The place was full and the waitress said a table would be free in 30 minutes and that she would take an order for drinks in the meanwhile. We waited and waited and waited, in 30 minutes we finally managed to order drinks, and got the table after 1 hour of patient waiting. Than the real nightmare began - indifferent non existing service, not taking order. For everything we had to ask twice (take an order, give bread, bring drinks), mistakes (wrong water), and just plain slow service. Following the food, we ordered a Tiramisu, following which we waited 30 more minutes and... and no Tiramisu on the horizon. After asking again and recieving a promise it would arrive in a couple of minutes - we were notified they are sold out. This is while they close the restaurant and turn off the lights while we are in it (due to their own slow service).

All in all, we spent there 3 hours - from 9:30-12:30 at night, for a meal that we basically had to serv ourselves. I will note they offered us compensation in the form of a shot but even for those we waited and waited until we went by ourselves inside and just paid. Honestly, I have no idea how they even allowed themselves to charge us for such a night.

I have eaten in lots of places, in many countries, from street eateries to Michelin starred restaurants, and I have never encountered such slow, incompetent, and indifferent service, which doesn't represent the great culinary tradition of Sicily.

As for the food, well, under such conditions it barely matters but I will say it was nice, some of it, like the tomatos and mozzarella, and fish ragu, were a bit overpriced in my opinion. The place is very touristy and definitely not worth it, especially on weekend night. The service is just too unreliable, save your time and peace of mind and choose...

I had lunch here because it was pretty much touted online for the food and the service. Maybe it is better at night. The pomadoro and burrata started was very good. It was a share thank goodness because the portion was large. The pasta I had was Pasta Norma which I ordered based on a previous review of how much eggplant was on it. Well, I had 4 eggplant skins and a sauce that tasted like it came right off the shelf. It was tasteless and very disappointing. This is a regional dish. Go figure. My partner had the pasta with boar ragu. He chose a different shape pasta after asking if there were options but basically got fetticini. His food was not that hot and was average. Funny taste so hoping it was the spices. I would not recomment this place based on our experience and I am sad that I wasted the calories. The service was not very attentive and we had to ask for our wine twice but to be fair, I only noticed one server and one helper from the kitchen so covering 8-10 tables might be a...

We came here on the last day of our trip, that was a big mistake, we need to visit it before! This place is fantastic! So we were at 7pm whats open time, but not, only can reserved a table at guys at 8pm. Okay, we walk around and came back, we want to try this restaurant. Table reservation recommended!!

The food is delicious and quality. The menu is simple but covers a lot lot. We also got an acoustic music from a street musician there - it gave an extra atmosphere (and i heard he is usually there)

But when we finished food, the service guys take off all the glasses and plates and you feel it "okay you ate and drunk ciao" ... This is not a Michelin restaurant, this is a pasta places, there is no time to deeping. Many people are waiting, there are few tables, this is it. Nobody spoke us let to go but we felt it. It was a little frustrated.

But the guys were nice, the food tasty, and have a good vibes. Come...

Delicious pasta, and so many choices. We had the seafood and salmon options they were very tasty. We ordered the Burrata salad as a starter, it was really fresh and the green tomatoes were a great touch. However, it took a very long time (20 mins) for the starter to come, and then 2 minutes after our main dishes came. That was not ideal, they did give us free bread samples as we waited long but still everything came at once. The staff is really sweet and obviously work very hard, they don't have menus so they have to explain the entire menu to each table which takes time, and they were only 2 to take orders, clean, bring plates, take payments. Therefore extremely slow service, we waited another 20 mins to be able to pay. I feel bad for the staff, they need more support. All in all, good food, sweet staff but very slow service. If you come early and have a long meal should be fine.
