I must say that I find it extremely disgusting that the person behind the counter handles and touches money in the cash register and then makes the sandwich directly after, without washing hands or using gloves. I stood in the entrance as the only customer and I could follow the process. Money is dirty, really dirty. - He was putting his fingers into the pots to take mozerella and ham, and went to get some salad from the back room, - all without gloves or any form of sanitising. I don't think it's ok. I threw out the sandwich right after cause I didnt want to risk getting sick. Didn't feel like complaining cause I already paid and I don't speak Italian so I'd be awkward. Waste of 5,90 euro, whatever that's not the point :-) Also btw the inside of the sandwich was cold, so an argument like "well it gets toasted so the potential bacteria would die", doesn't hold up, sadly.

Our visit to CAPATOAST was a wonderful one during our stay in Hotel Verdi next door in Palermo! Greeted & welcomed by the friendly owner left us a great impression. Not to mention a HUGE sign outside the door that was appealing! The sandwich was HUGE & SUPERBLY DEE-LISH! Definitely will be back next time we are in PALERMO. - Ciao from Luci & Ron DiGiovanna from USA

Simply awesome! We are vegetarian Hindu Indian tourists and were tired searching for good vegetarian options! This place veg sandwich was awesome! Plus freshly squeezed orange juice wow! Fries are also too good! All restaurants labelled Indian food in Palermo is run by Bangladeshi muslims and tastes nothing like Indian food! Don’t get fooled!

Pros: They actually had a gluten-free option, and it was only €1.50 more than the regular one. Honestly, a win for anyone with a gluten allergy.

Cons: Where do I even start? The sandwich was tragically soggy, the filling was basically non-existent (except for the sad clump in the middle) and the flavor? Nonexistent, Ive had water that tastes more seasoned! To make matters worse, they didn’t even cut the sandwich, so eating it felt like some kind of weird food challenge. I paid €9.20 for this, and honestly? I could make a better sandwich at home blindfolded, with expired ingredients and zero effort.

The restaurant itself looks nice. The colors, the concept, all very aesthetic. But when it comes to actual food and customer service? A total letdown. And as someone who has survived hellish 10-14 hour shifts in food service, I can confidently say the server had way too much time gossiping behind the counter instead of actually...
