FUD — Restaurant in Palermo

We passed this restaurant on our first evening in Palermo, and just judging from the look with all the bottles on the walls we decided on eating there the day after.

We didn't make reservations but were early enough to get a table for four. It got quite busy after us! Don't come here for the traditional pasta dinner, this is an alternative place: burgers with all kinds of meat - or veggie for those in that. I had a "Baffalo Burgher", yes, buffalo it was and I ate it with hands only [normally not my style] and I enjoyed it a lot.

Didn't even get to finish my glass of wine, so occupied with the burger. This is not a MacDo burger place (that thing doesn't deserve to be called food), but here they serve very well prepared real meat burgers.

I bought a bottle of Sicilian quality olive oil there, they have a shop inside - that's what's on the walls. FUD here doesn't stand for Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt, but for Fun, Unusual...

While searching for burger places in Palermo, we came across this establishment, which I find to be somewhat overrated. The atmosphere is pleasant, but the staff isn’t particularly welcoming.

The restaurant seems to be trying too hard to stand out with quirky names for their dishes and their own branded cola, which is essentially a spezi. However, they should prioritize the quality of their food rather than focusing on gimmicks. There’s no need to reinvent Coca-Cola—you simply can’t make it better.

As for the burgers, the taste was decent but overly complex. The meat was undercooked, which I didn’t mention beforehand, nor was I asked about my preference. My suggestion would be to concentrate more on the food itself rather than the names of the dishes, drinks, or even the decor. After all, this is a restaurant, and the food should be...

Sorry to say but tonight I was chocked. I really do LOVE this place but after several years as a guest I tonight had such a really bad experience. I could see the place was busy, as always staff was working like poisoned rats(Swedish saying) and I don't expect to be someone "special" but to be neglected I simply don't accept. Guests arriving after me getting service before me I'll never accept. The staff is terriffic but I'd say (sadly) organizing really has to step up considerably. Tonight I'm really, very disappointed and sad. Almost makes me cry. FUD is one of the main reasons I keep comming back several times a year but this I'd NEVER accepted in one of my restaurants in Sweden. The restaurant Medio Oriente across the plaza Olivella served me more properly. Sad to say but true. /il palermitano...
