Carizzi d'amuri — Restaurant in Palermo

Avoid at all costs! Not fresh food and obnoxious service! Tourist trap to the extreme! We went there for dinner and this was one of the worst experiences I've had in a long time!

The octopus was not fresh and probably frozen and the veal tasted also as if it was going off.

Furthermore I ordered a cocktail which the bartender freepoured and got the measurements wrong. I sent the drink back and in spite of my insistence the bartender stated it was just my personal preference. He made me the same drink again which still, to no surprise, had the wrong measures (maybe he should not freepour it the second time?). So I sent it back again and declined being offered another. He then proceeded to bring the drink to a colleague in the kitchen to try for who knows what reason! I guess maybe he could give a better opinion than I could?

I had enough and asked for the cheque, cancelling our mains (which I was still charged for) and paid. The same waiter came over asking what went wrong with our dinner though you could tell upon me giving him feedback that he wasn't showing any actual interest.

So we left with the intention of going to another restaurant which was cut short when my girlfriend broke out in rashes (she isn't allergic to any seafood)!!! Do...

Wir besuchten das Carizzi d amuri auf Grund der guten TA Bewertungen. Die Reservierung über The fork gelang problemlos, allerdings waren wir an einem Sonntag Abend zunächst auch die einzigen Gäste. Alle weiteren Gäste waren Touristen.

Die Einrichtung des Lokals ist bemüht aber nicht hochwertig: Tische sind mit Laminatoberfläche, Stühle aus Hartplastik, die Anrichte hat Baumarktoberflächen.

Nach einer zuvorkommenden Begrüßung wurde uns das Barcode-Menü zum Herunterladen in einer abgegriffenen Klarsichtfolie gereicht. Wir hatten als Vorspeise das Fischtartar und ein frittiertes Fischbällchen mit Safransauce. Das Tartar war geschmacklich absolut nichtssagend, die Shrimps nicht vollständig gepellt, so dass man permanent kleine Stücke der Schale im Mund hatte. Die Obststückchen zum Fisch hatten Supermarkt-Qualität und waren frei von Eigengeschmack. Lachs und Thunfisch waren qualitativ nicht zum Rohverzehr geeignet, da nicht ausreichend filetiert. Das Fischbällchen war geschmacklich wie an jedem Streetfood-Stand in Palermo erhältlich, die Safransauce mit geringem Eigengeschmack und mit Stärke gebunden. Die Dorade im Hauptgang wurde von einer überwürzten Paste bedeckt und mit Mandelblättchen überhäuft. Der Eigengeschmack war hierdurch undefinierbar. Das Kalbsfilet in Pfeffersauce war von Sehnen durchsetzt und ungenießbar. Durch die großen Mengen an Pfefferkörnern in der Sauce und die geschmacklich nichtssagenden Apfelstückchen wurde die schlechte Qualität des Fleisches sicher nicht aufgewertet. Keines der Gerichte wurde von uns aufgegessen-was den Kellner jedoch überhaupt nicht interessierte…es gab keine Nachfrage, keine Reaktion auf den Hinweis auf die geschilderten Mängel. Dieses Restaurant ist absolut nicht empfehlenswert, das Essen entspricht handwerklich und qualitativ...

Andare in questo ristorante si è rivelata purtroppo una maleaugurata idea nonostante le sue grandi potenzialità. Abbiamo telefonato per prenotare un tavolo per tre e ci è stato detto di non venire prima delle 22. Ok. Soltanto un cameriere era presente in sala. Dal momento in cui ci siamo seduti all'ordine sono passati 34 minuti. Un po' meno ok. Acqua e pane sono arrivati solo dopo l'ordine e abbiamo dovuto sollecitarlo. Vabbè c'è il COVID ed è da solo...lasciamo perdere. Porta l'antipasto e un pezzo cade proprio dietro alla mia schiena macchiandomi. Vabbè succede. Cibo e vino sono ottimi (anche se un piatto leggermente troppo poco cotto). Domando il conto e gli spiego i disagi che abbiamo avuto chiedendogli esplicitamente di venirci incontro. Niente, è un periodaccio e "domandiamo comprensione ai nostri clienti". Torna col conto e senza neanche lo sconto di un centesimo e nemmeno ci offre un amaro. Peccato davvero, mi sarebbe piaciuto tornarci, ma evidentemente preferiscono risparmiarsi su un caffè piuttosto che assicurarsi un buon passaparola, soprattutto considerato il lavoro mio e dei miei altri due accompagnatori. A mai più. Nota per il gestore: Nella risposta noto con divertimento che far fare il triplo salto carpiato della frittata a vostro favore può avervi dato soddisfazione, ma da parte nostra non c’è mai stata nessuna “pretesa” di sconto, nessuna “strizzatina d’occhio” e nessun dolo. Abbiamo puntualizzato un disservizio di fatto, ma per arroganza e sciocco orgoglio non ci siete stati e avete dato la vostra versione dei “fatti” per cercare di uscirne puliti agli occhi di chi legge questa recensione. Questo si che è “dolo”. Mi auguro in futuro siate stati più capaci di gestire sportivamente critiche che hanno solo avuto lo scopo di essere costruttive.
