Il Trovatore Ristorante — Restaurant in Parma

I came here with a work colleague late without a reservation. We were seated in the outside area which was a bit like a glass train carriage - that's not a complaint, it was comfortable, warm on a late summers night. The service was excellent, the waiters were efficient and charming. We were offered an English menu very politely, which was appreciated.

The food was excellent! I had Parma ham (not had it here yet so I seized the moment to tick that box) and then a pasta dish with clams and baby tomatoes. Remember when to have a coffee that your in Italy - it will be an espresso (a dash of sugar - benissimo!)

There was a free glass of prosecco when we sat down for my colleague (I'm off the booze for the moment, no reason except maybe the start of a midlife crisis) and the offer for a limoncello after dinner (again declined if you're interested) .

Highly recommended, a very lovely meal, no rush, no fuss.

Went here for dinner in Parma and had a really good time. The waitress was really nice and gave us a very informative info about Parma and some history, really enjoyed that from the waiter, social and a very nice girl! The food was also very good, we hade first course Parma ham with Torta Frittas and 2 different pastas for main course which also was very nice. Ended the dinner with some really nice local liquer. I came with my friend to Parma for the first time and we ate here for lunch on a Sunday. We were seated right away without waiting. Bread and water were served. The food came out pretty quickly. The portions were exactly right so we could eat all of it.
