I was recommended Perlage from a friend who once lived in Parma, and returns on a regular basis. Since I lived right around the corner, it was a no-brainer. He recommended that I should try "Salumi Misto con torta fritta" for antipasti and "Tortelli dErbetta" as 2 local dishes. They did not disappoint! As you can the see, there was plenty for the antipasti for 2, and it was delicious. The fried bread was a perfect match. The pasta was incredibly tasty and after these 2 dishes there was no room for dessert. Very friendly staff but fear how it would be with a full restaurant, since there was only 1 waiter. Including wine, water and everything, I ended up spending less than 40€. They didn't seem to have an English menu but I already knew what I wanted. Otherwise hooray for Google Translate. Definitely a locals spot as you can’t even see it from the street. It is tucked away down a slightly dilapidated driveway. Booked for Sunday lunch via email with help of google translate. By how busy it was looks like we nabbed the last table. Though we were clearly the only non-Parmesan there, the young server spoke much better English than my Italian and brought out an English menu once she discovered just how bad my Italian was. This is definitelu the best meal i have had in my one week in the Emilia-Rogmana region.

The raw shrimp pasta is absolutely well executed. The raw shrimps and fish (sashimi) is just so, so fresh, and the squid salad is simple but refreshing. Love the welcome proesecco drink to kick-start a lovely meal, and yummy biscuits to wrap up. Thanks for the anniversary dessert too (triple layered mousse cake set between thin chocolate pieces).
