Ristorante cinese China Town — Restaurant in Perugia

The food is actually quite good-flavorful, well-cooked, and satisfying. However, the overall experience was disappointing due to the staff’s attitude. They were cold and noticeably rude, which made us feel very unwelcome.

What was even more upsetting was that guests who arrived after us were served much faster, and it was hard to ignore that they happened to be white while we, as brown guests, were left waiting. It’s really disheartening to experience this kind of behavior, especially in a public dining space.

Not good Chinese food. Everything was greasy. The dishes lacked depth of flavor beyond salt, MSG and whatever bottled sauces dumped on them. The spicy tofu was simply tofu, spicy peppers and a bottle of hot sauce. The eggplant dish was store bought sweet and sour sauce on eggplant. All flavorless. What a lovely place. Passed it a month ago and always wanted to see how it was. Ordered sweet shrimp with pineapple (very sweet recommend only if you like sweet or order a salty dish with it. Xiaolongbao (100%), rice (loved it). Fried steam buns (were great. Would have been amazing if we had condensed milk instead), and my friend ordered something with duck. The staff speak Chinese and Italian so if you speak neither like I it is a bit challenging. Good...
