Ordered truffle and sausage pappardelle and picanha with fries. Pasta came soggy and bland (and what about a purple flower on it???🤔), picanha was terrible: overcooked, dripping BBQ sauce (no I haven't ask for it!!!) and quite small in size (less than 200gr, for its price (20 bucks). I've sent it back immediately and the very polite waiter apologized and asked if he could change it (while confirming that they always serve BBQ sauce on the picanha...but then why not to put this on the menu???). ah and the fries were really unappealing. It's a pity because I was looking forward to try this place due so many good reviews, and I save the service (they did not accounted the steak on the bill which is the right thing to do if someone sent it back, but still, they were nice). With so many better options in Pisa I would not recommend the place. Ps. it's great you acknowledge the positive reviews, but you may also want to take onboard the constructive ones without...

Let’s talk steak… T.Bone from local cattle cut to order ours weighed in at 1.2kg. It was brought to the table before cooking which added some drama and anticipation. Once cooked it was served rare and sliced with the bone on a sizzling skillet which allowed further cooking if required. For side dishes we had Rosemary Potatoes, Truffle Mash & Wilted Spinach which were all cooked well. Paired with a bottle of local Red Wine we were very satisfied. After a look at the dessert menu we couldn’t leave the meal there, so many sounded so so good. The Tartaletta and Torta Raggio were a delightful way to round off the meal. When the bill is presented they also present a tower of sweets and lollipops which we really liked.

Read moreOne of the best meals I’ve had in over 50 years of eating out. Right from the start we were welcomed by a very young, very charming young man who made us feel welcome. He recommended a local craft beer which was lovely. I really fancied one of the “specials” the venison ragu. It was a stater, but I wanted it as a main. No problem. Anyway, when our food arrived… I struggle here to tell you just how good both dishes were. My wife has a pork and truffle dish. Which I think took the podium, just. But my venison was just divine as well. It’s been a very, very long time since I’ve had such a great meal. The last I can remember that was even close was jugged hare in a country hotel in the Cotswolds 20+ years ago! And the whole meal, including a great bottle of local wine came to €64. Also, my meal as a starter was €16. They only charged me an extra €4 to make it a main. If you’re in Pisa. Trust...
