We are American tourists, in town for one night. We came here at 8:30 am for our morning coffee. They had just opened, and no food was in the pastry case, so we ordered a cappuccino and sat down. The owner was attentive and very sweet, he walked over and asked us in English, knowing we were tourists, if we wanted cinnamon in our coffee. “Si, Si” we said, in our limited Italian. He also told us that fresh croissants be out of the oven in 10 minutes, if we were not in a hurry, we delightfully said we could wait. He asked if we wanted chococate, vanilla, or ricotta on our croissants… “cioccolato!” we said! 5 minutes later a lovely warm croissant with warm nutella and and a delicious cappuccino arrived. We talked for a bit and he tried his best to communicate with us, considering that we don't speak Italian. We had the best time and he was the sweetest man we ever met. We ordered some croissants and coffees and in 5 minutes they were on our table , warm and delicious.
