La Piadina del Melarancio — Restaurant in Ravenna

A little disappointing. The staff were slow to acknowledge my presence and didn't seem very happy to be serving. The crescione were pre-made, not allowing for you to adapt the fillings. I had a zucca e patate (pumpkin/squash and potato) crescione. It was luke-warm. The good thing was the flavour. Not too salty, not too sweet, a bit of pepper and herbs. Though I've had better crescione in Forlì and Cervia.

The decor is rustic and there's seating at the back. A nice gimmick is that fillings for Piadina arrive in a bucket lowered through the ceiling from the kitchen above. Also the prices are reasonable.

My goodness, the taste of this bread!! I could eat just the bread but then to add mozzarella and mushrooms and then warmed it. It was heaven. Yummy!! I went in for a snack and ended up ordering another one, making it my full lunch. If I lived in Ravenna I’d be in trouble, eating there everyday! Also whoever I worked with discussing my order and paying, she was the most friendly person I have met....

my group and i were served quickly despite the busy entryway, had the piadina tradizonale with prosciutto, rocket, and squacquerone (?) or something like that but the cheese was my favorite part. my friend genuinely forgot to pay amid the chaos our group brought, but the worker wasn't too mad once i was able to roughly translate my friends mistake to him. yummy...
