SCIALO - Finestra sul mare — Restaurant in Reggio Calabria

If I could rate this place a 0.5, I would – and that’s only because of the amazing location they have. Sadly, the service and overall experience were among the worst I’ve had.

From the moment we arrived, it felt like they didn’t want to serve us. We simply wanted to sit down, enjoy some aperitifs and drinks, and take in the atmosphere. Instead, everything was made difficult.

As we placed our order, the server told us it would take 30 minutes for the food – almost as if discouraging us from ordering. We were fine with waiting, happy to relax with drinks while chatting as a family. But the problems continued: • The wrong drinks were brought out. • When they were returned, the waiter seemed annoyed because we had taken a sip – but how were we supposed to know they weren’t ours? • It then took about 10 minutes for the correct drinks to arrive, and only after we asked. • The food, which was supposed to be 30 minutes, took over an hour. I can understand if they were busy… but there were plenty of empty tables and seats around. The food was only cold meats, olives, bruschetta and salad?

For a place in such a beautiful location by the water, you would expect at least some pride in service and hospitality. Instead, it felt careless and unwelcoming from start to finish. Extremely disappointing – they do not deserve to be in such a prime spot if this is the way they...

Che dire. Una posizione fantastica, ottimi prodotti locali, prezzi un filo alti per Reggio, ma un pessimo servizio con tempi di attesa infiniti e personale simpatico ma molto poco chiaro sui tempi di attesa. A volte la chiarezza fa guadagnare punti e la sincerità è sempre apprezzata. Continui rinvii non fanno bene. Le scuse e lo scarico delle responsabilità non fanno bene sempre. Auguro che le critiche vengano accettate con umiltà per poter crescere...

The staff is very friendly, nice atmosphere, great music, full of young people. The cocktails are OK, the food...
