La Cantinetta — Restaurant in Rimini

That day we were there I think we were unlucky. The restaurant was very busy (which no one told us), so we were served really late and the waiters, you really had to stop them to place an order. We've been waiting for more than an hour before we asked for our dishes. The waitress was very sorry about that and immediately went to the kitchen and then we got our entree and right after that the main course. It kinda was our fault too, for not asking earlier. To defend us waiting, we only asked after tables that arrived later than us got served with (sometimes the same) entrees earlier than us and we took notice of it.

The ambient light outside and the alleyway feeling was awesome in there.

The staff was very friendly and attentive, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the food left much to be desired—except for the cold cuts board and pizza, which was the only highlight. The lasagne was overcooked, and the pasta was so soft it tasted like baby food. The carbonara initially arrived extremely dry, resembling scrambled eggs. I’m not Italian, but having enjoyed carbonara many times before, I don’t believe it’s supposed to be like that. I returned it and received a replacement, which was even worse: watery, overly salty, and completely lacking the flavor of egg. I wasn’t able to eat it. Dopo 10 anni che frequento locali nella vecchia pescheria mi permetto di dire che questo è il migliore!

Parto dicendo che sono venuto all'apertura della nuova gestione e non ero rimasto molto contetto, infatti vi avevo scritto una recensione con 2 stelle, però vedo che ha dato i suoi frutti e avete migliorato TANTISSIMO, bravi!

Analizzerò voce per voce la posizione, locale, personale, cibo e rapporto qualità prezzo, ma per chi ha fretta dico SINTETICAMENTE IN UNA FRASE: “Appagato all'ennesima potenza su tutti i fronti, buffet SUPERLATIVO!”.

POSIZIONE Nella Vecchia Pescheria di Rimini, in una suggestiva piazzetta interna, non vorrei sbagliarmi ma forse questa è la prima cantinetta che è stata aperta in questa parte della città, poi le altre a seguire.

LOCALE Bello, rustico, con un soppalco che si apre sul piano di sotto e che gira tutto intorno creando un'ambientazione calda, accogliente, un pò in penombra e quindi per certi versi anche romantica.

PERSONALE Professionali e disponibili, credo che i proprietari siano più di uno e comunque si vede nello staff un grande impegno.

CIBO TUTTO SPETTACOLARE! SUPERLATIVO! Premetto che sono molto delicato di stomaco e se mangio qualcosa che non è di qualità sto male. Infatti, in tutti gli altri locali della vecchia pescheria il bruciore di stomaco è assicurato, sopratutto dove fanno i buffet più abbondanti (ma evidente di bassissima qualità) ci vogliono 2 giorni prima che mi passi.

Detto questo posso dire che alla fine dell'aperitivo ero appagato come se fossi stato a mangiare al ristorante, infatti nel buffet c'erano: -zuppa di maltagliati fatti in casa con i ceci -farro con formaggio, pomodorini ciliegina, funghi e formaggio -riso in insalata -polenta con ragù e formaggio -spinaci e fagioli piccanti -fagiolini con patate e aceto balsamico -pane per intingoli fatto in casa -pizza fatta in casa -spianata fatta in casa, calda, con la mortadella -Birra molto buona TUTTO SPETTACOLARE! SUPERLATIVO! Al buffet alle 9:30 portavano ancora cose da mangiare.
