L'Arcobaleno — Restaurant in Riomaggiore

I was doing the hike from Manarola to Corniglia and decided to take a stop here to get something to drink. When I asked the lady behind the counter politely if I could have something to drink, she instantly sighed and rolled her eyes at me. Even more so when I asked if I could pay with card (either cash or card is fine by me, but they had a sign saying they accept card so that was what I asked for, ended up paying cash anyway. Money is money). After I finished, I asked if I could use the bathroom real quick. She said I had to wait a minute before other guests were done. After 15 minutes I decided to pack up and leave, forcing me to hold up my sanitary needs all throughout the rest of the hike, which was not a great time. If you don't want hikers from Cinque Terre pouring in, then that is totally fair enough but then maybe don't put a sign advertising your place along the route. I didn't have any food so I can't...

We had 1,5 hour when we arrived, and yet we had to run out of the place with the food in a doggy bag to catch the last bus back to Manarola. That’s how long we had to wait for the dinner to be made. We couldn’t pay with cards because the machine was out of order, so we also had to struggle very last minute with bad reception while making a bank transfer. It would have been nice to know this in advance. It’s probably a nice place when everything is working as it should, but unfortunately that was not our experience. The worst service ever! Never ever experienced behavior from waitress like this. Ať first we had to wait for 15 minutes before she even came to us - she was 15 minutes walking around us like we were some ghosts. When she finally came, totally arrogant and annoyed that we are even there - she asked us what we want there 😅 I said something to drink and eat. She refused to give us menu and sent us inside to take a look at some table.
