I want to share my experience with readers and management.
What happened during the celebration of my pre-wedding aperitif is scandalous.
I decided with my wife to organize an aperitif with family coming from abroad especially for the location, which is something amazing. Is the perfect location to have an aperitif with a spectacular setting of Rome.
One of our guest, an elderly man fell on the floor hitting the top of a wicker table made by glass and accidentally by felling on the table this top has broken. The top is a piece of rectangular glass 50x100cm.
The people at the bar instead of offering help to this man that cut his hands and with glasses, and my left leg, they just bother to clean the glasses from the floor evidently listless. However, this is not the end⌠I can understand a busy night; the staff had not the best day etc. etc⌠But after paying one thousand euros of aperitif the gentlemen at the bar ask to pay 150 euros for the top of the wicker table. No invoice of the aperitif, no invoice of the 150 euros of the peace of glass, just a piece of paper were said 150 euros damage of the bar. First little suggestion, instead of treat client like with sad face and no empathy at all would be very easy to ask.. "All good, do you need any assistance?" Then in a nice way, charge the honest amount of the glass that can be maximum 50 euros MaximuuumâŚ. If I were the manager, I would not even ask for the stupid amount of 150 euros instead I would offer assistance.
Second Little suggestion, The White wine, specially the sparkling one is always good to keep a stock in the fridge⌠Is not nice to wait half hour for a bottle of prosecco because the fridge is empty. We organize this aperitif months in advance.
The buffet was not up my expectation, which I would give 2 point out of five but this just my personal opinion, not a big deal. I think the staff needs training on how to smile; smiling is the best welcome especially when you are celebrating an important moment. I do not blame those girls I give the total responsibility to the management, which evidently was not present during this ridiculous inconvenient otherwise, it would not happen.
My suggestion, take a pics to this amazing frame but I would not go back even for a...
Read moreVery good food and drinks. The chef/manager(?) was very attentive and clearly was very invested in making sure that customers had a great experience. I ordered an Old Fashioned with brandy instead of whisky, and he wanted to make sure that I was okay with how the brandy (keep 'er movin') would react with the rest of the ingredients. I appreciated his concern, I mean no one asks things like that, and it shows his level of care in presentation and experience. The service was overall great, our server was attentive and friendly. I had a cheese and meat board, which was excellent. The only thing I would ding is the furniture we sat on, since it was low to the ground. Fortunately, I have been watching a lot of sumo wrestling so my thighs are like...
Read moreGreat lounge-restaurant with a great taste of decoration and cool ambience music. The restaurant feels always alive, even on mondays; people are cool (different ages) and you can enjoy an outside atmosphere if you re a smoker without loosing the charming ambience. By the way, the restaurant is placed in a very charming venue, what makes the outside experience even more pleasant. We (me and my girlfriend) were in Rome for a week in the winter (2014) and we returned there for three times, always having a great time. The staff is excellent and the kitchen runs until late what makes the restaurant- lounge a good choice for late dinner and cool drinks. "Cool relaxing lounge...
