Antica Trattoria Memmo Srl (Negozio Historico) — Restaurant in Rome

The service here was extremely disappointing. The staff lacked effort, attentiveness and basic customer service. We accidentally ordered an extra bottle of water, and when we politely asked if we could return it, they just said no. Then we noticed we were charged for bread we didn’t order, didn’t get, and obviously didn’t eat.

The food wasn’t great either. The carbonara had way too much egg and just wasn’t good. The lasagna tasted nice but came out cold, which was very disappointing.

What really bothered us was how we felt treated compared to other tables. It seemed like locals got much better service, while we, as tourists, were ignored or treated poorly.

For a total of €70, which is not cheap at all, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. The whole experience just...

Unfortunately wont be returning due to poor service when I got given a lobster pasta where there was no visible lobster present in my pasta. When asking the first waiter they offered me an alternative dish which i accepted. Although I did wait another 30 minutes for a salad - i could have ignored this, when paying the bill a different waiter told me i would still be paying for the lobster pasta despite not eating more than 2 mouth fulls and not being informed of this until after the fact. Then proceeded to accuse me of eating it before i returned it to the kitchen, when the only lobster present was its empty shell on my plate...

We were sightseeing all day and got really hungry. We just walked in there without any high expectations; we wanted to grab something to eat and be on our way. Oh boy, we were for a big and pleasant surprise. The service was on a totally different level, they were quick, kind and very responsive. We ordered gorgonzola gnocchi, pizza carbonara among other things. The food was just amazing and their house red wine was from another planet.
