For the price charged, very disappointing. One of our party had the lobster which he enjoyed and one had the fish and also loved it. But that was about it. Being an Aussie I was going to start with a beer, there were 4 on the menu, and although we were first in the restaurant the first two had run out. So I had what I could get across the road in the supermarket for three times the price! The ladies ordered a glass of Prosecco each. But they left the whole bottle and charged us for it. First’s didn’t really end up on the plates as ordered and we had to move things around ourselves. They also pushed us into ordering more, but it was too much when it came out. Then there was my dessert, Creme Brûlée, more like a hard custard with barely a crunch on top. What was so disappointing is that I mentioned the problem to the waiter, who just smiled and moved on. I tried again on our way out with the head waiter, same reaction. I just hope it was a lack of understanding, but I’m not so sure. Then there was the Tiramisu, we all agreed we could have made a better one at home. There are so many better value restaurants in the area, do yourself a favour and try those. I usually only rate those I highly enjoy, but I feel it’s my duty to make an exception...
Read moreFrom the outside it looks amazing: great atmosphere, smart casual, intimate seating, and will appointed. Sadly the food really disappointed. I ordered bruscetta, which arrived swiftly but the bread was barely toasted, and tough rather than crisp. The main course of a salad with tuna strips was a confection of rubbery, overcooked tuna flakes (not strips) and excessive tepid olive oil with a handful of rocket atop, seemingly as an afterthought. It lacked seasoning, was as unappetising as I've described it, and left me wanting only the cheque for desert. In the capital of a country renowned for amazing food, this was a regrettable...
