While visiting Rome we searched to find an Italian restaurant that was away from the tourist area and stumbled across this place on the internet. We did not make reservations, it was a Tuesday night 830pm. Our journey started when our cab driver said he never heard of the place and after an Italian roller coaster ride through rome we reached the front gate of the restaurant. Then we drove down a long driveway to what looked like an old factory. The cab driver warned us not to get out as the area seemed a little sketchy. We disregarded his advice and went in. Later we all laughed and were so happy we decided to go. It was the best dining experience we had in our 3 days in Rome. We were visiting from Connecticut, USA. The staff were extremely friendly and treated us like family even though none of us knew the Italian language. They checked on us very often and in the true Italian spirit brought out many complimentary dishes in between courses to welcome us to there restaurant. Several staff members visited with our table and helped work through the menu with us. We talked to the staff about where we were from, fishing, our children and much more. It felt like home. The truly could not have been more welcoming and friendly, exactly the kind of Italian dining experience we were seeking. Now to talk about the food, wow, just amazing, I don't even know where to start. One of the best meals I have ever consumed. My wife enjoyed a rose wine, while I had the blonde draft beer. All of the pasta, pizza, cheeses and breads were absolutely delicious. The chef and cooks are visible through a glass window as they work hard preparing the food. Just the best. The restaurant was tastefully designed inside and the sound of laughter and happiness could be heard coming from each table including ours. We spent several hours eating, talking, laughing, eating more and drinking. This was an all around 5 star experience for us and I encourage anyone visiting Rome to eat a meal here. Thank you so much to everyone that catered to us during our dinner. Great job, the complimentary homemade liquor was the perfect ending...
Quasi a compensare tale differenza.
It’s so hard discovering this restaurant. It could be difficult for a person choosing it for its position. The hospitality of owner is fantastic. The staff is so kindly and professional. Astronomy is the theme of restaurant’s design and a passion of owner. Not only restaurant, but brewery too. A great choice for a pizza and a beer. Gourmet food and craft beer for a kitchen that’s flavor, substance and feeling. A dinner at Atlas Coelestis is never for every single person. You can feel and live everytime conviviality and sharing. Not a service for one person, but for everyone. The philosophy of restaurant is to make the evening memorable. Everyone tastes every pizza. It’s difficult think to eat only one. A particular pizza, not the usual, to eat drinking a good beer. The possibility to choose is not wide, but the quality is really high. Almost to pay the gap. You have certainly pizza with tomato and mozzarella, or sausage and savoy cabbage. It’s very difficult find this restaurant, you couldn’t happen by chance. If you discover it, you surely would...
Read moreA cozy fine dining spot in a residential area of Rome. I was incredibly surprised to find Kombutcha and cider, which are not that common! They even had a special kombutcha brew that was homemade for the occasion.. absolutely special! Every time I come in the staff is ready to recommend me a new brew and it feels so cozy and homely!
The food is refined and yummy (that low temperature cooked egg.. i want more!) and doesn't break the bank. And the cheeses... are divine!
I really cannot recommend this...
