Amazing coffee bar! I went to this bar almost every morning for breakfast when I studied abroad in Rome.
Atmosphere: the bar is small but somehow fits everyone. Fabio and his family are super welcoming and super nice. They are used to tourists so don't be afraid if you don't speak Italian. Fabio, Marco, and the entire crew learned my name and my order very quickly. Order at the bar and pay later. Everything is very reasonably priced, and the service is fast. If there's a line out the door, don't worry- you'll probably be out in 15 minutes.
Food: Typical Italian coffee bar fare. Very reasonably priced coffees. They also have a variety of pastries and sandwiches. I usually ordered a cappuccino and a cornetto (pastry) filled with Nutella- delicious! They have a student discount associated with the various study abroad programs in the area. This reduced the price of my breakfast from €2 to €1,80.
Conclusion: Amazing coffee bar, great food and drinks, nice prices, fantastic staff....
Read moreWe discovered this charming coffee shop on our first morning in Rome and returned every single day of our trip. Bar Amore quickly became our daily ritual.
The coffee is prepared efficiently, and their sandwiches and pastries are outstanding. The egg and tomato sandwich was an unexpected highlight, so good that we ordered it every morning during our stay.
What truly sets Bar Amore apart is the exceptional service. The staff strikes the perfect balance of friendliness and efficiency, creating a welcoming atmosphere for both locals and tourists alike. We never felt rushed or unwelcome, despite the language barrier.
The café has an authentic neighborhood feel that’s hard to find in tourist areas. I wish I could bottle the warm atmosphere and take it home with me. Since that’s impossible, I’ll just have to plan our return trip...
Read moreThis was our favorite bar/café in Rome while we visited. Tucked away on a quiet side street, it gave us a totally authentic feel. This bar seemed to be frequented by locals which was quite refreshing to begin our hectic travel days. We stopped by every morning, and were always greeted with a warm welcome. The cappuccinos were absolutely to die for and cornettos were delicious as well. The man behind the counter was patient with us while we practiced our Italian. Not to mention, probably the most fair prices in all of Rome that we encountered were probably here. I think we paid 5€ total for 2 cappuccinos and 2 cornettos each morning. Fantastic place and I would highly recommend you start your day here. I’m still dreaming...
