When booking this hotel on check in instructions it said no check ins after 530 so thinking that our flight was arriving at 1200 we would be fine. Our flight got delayed so we did not arrive until 4. According to the check in instructions we thought we would be fine. We arrived at the hotel and found nobody there. We called the number for the hotel and nobody answered, we text the number and nobody answered. We tried to send an email and nobody answered. We called the phone number attached to the flyer and talked to a third party company and they did not answer. Now that we were in a panic we looked further down the email, apparently there are special check in instructions. You cannot check in after 1 pm if you do not make arrangements. In todays world where flights are delayed, you think that these instructions would be in the check in instructions because if you are arriving before 530 one would think that you do not require special check in needs. These circumstances forced us to book another hotel for that night. We did not receive any communication from them at all. We tried to get a hold of them about the reservation from our booking company and they refused to refund us. They essentially stole from my wife and I. It has been over 6 weeks and I have not received my money back from them. One would think that if some doesn’t check in they’d communicate with the guest, they didn’t. Maybe, if someone calls the number provided or texts the numbers provided they would call you back. They did not. This was not what we wanted to start our honeymoon. Their lack of empathy and customer service is fully apparent with the lack of trying to communicate with...
Read moreWorking in Rome filming at the Rome Forum & in the Vatican for NHK Japanese TV company this was in a perfect location for the 2 sites. Check in desk is on 1st floor & not in courtyard. Room, large & clean.. Bed, 2 singles put together so large if not a little too firm for me, the 4 pillows were ok & the linen was clean.. It's December but the heating does keep it warm.. Nice bathroom & water pressure is ok. It is incredibly noisy not only from the main road but from the staff as well, Italian ladys cannot talk to each other without shouting & seeing as reception deck is next to my room the chatter early in the mornings was somewhat annoying.. The radio plays from a speaker in the ceiling outside the door as well which adds to the general cacophony going on. Flat screen tv which you can change some channels into English to watch. Fridge, coffee making machine but you do have to pay for the pods if you use it. They serve breakfast to your room & depending who makes it decides on what you get & how much of it, my coffee was stone cold this morning but I got 2 pastries, 2 butters & 2 jams so it's pot luck. Not sure of the price as company paid but I don't think it's mega pounds. Plenty of bars & resturants along with a supermarket on the corner of the church square. If you are looking for quiet romantic then it's not here, if you just want a place to crash while you are out ALL day site seeing & need a central location then this fits the bill. So it begs the question, would I bring the good lady here for a weekend visit? Actually I would as we would be out all day & it will probably be for 2 nights only.. Uber taxi service in Rome is amazing...
Read moreDo not stay here. The way that the property manager, Gabriele, treated us as customers was completely unprofessional and rude. We let the property know that we would be checking in late weeks in advance, specifically over 5 weeks in advance. They said it would be okay and we could organize a self check-in. We arrived at 10pm and picked up the keys from a bar across the street. Turns out that Rome Inn Rooms forgot to give us the correct key to enter the hallway that would allow us to enter our room. We called the phone number that was given to us over 5 times and no response. An hour later at approximately 11pm, while we were on the phone with Expedia for over 40 minutes, Gabriele arrived and attempted to let us in while acknowledging that we were not given the correct keys. Once he arrived he himself didn’t have the right keys so we had to wait another 30 minutes for us to be let in the room; from 10pm to 11:30pm we were stuck in a country that was completely foreign to us at night with no place to stay. Upon checking out, we got Gabriele to acknowledge that it was their mistake that the proper key was not given to us upon arrival, however they did absolutely nothing to compensate us or try to help us out at all. If you want to be treated like dirt by the staff that work here, stay here. If you want to not have to worry about not having a place to sleep as a tourist, go elsewhere. Save your stress, save your time, and save your money. If the property owned up to their mistakes and attempted to treat us like people, I wouldn’t be writing this review, however they...
