Celso e Giuliano is our favorite Church to come to for the Holy Mass when we're visiting Roma! We love the Institute of Christ the King and their amazing priests. The Holy Mass is so reverent and brings you as close to heaven as you can get! The priests are very friendly, as are the Italians who attend Mass. The ICK will have especially beautiful ways to venerate the Saints on their special feast days, you should be sure to come to Mass and join in the Mass. Confession is often available and the priests are very helpful and kind in guiding you. The Church itself is peaceful and quiet. We loved to contemplate each side chapel before and after each Mass to pray to Our Lady of Grace, an image in which St. Ignatius of Loyola would also pray before. There is also an amazing crucifix of Our Lord, Jesus Christ which we love to meditate on during the Holy Mass, and His Holy Face. There is also a statue of St. Micheal, the Sacred Heart of Jesus and some other beautiful images, along with the skull of St. Clement. This Church is a must to come and attend the Holy Mass. I hope you're able to come and visit this beautiful Church...

Walking down the streets of Rome I discover this beautiful catholic church called The Church of Saints Celsus and Julian. Out amazing and beautiful architecture has this church. You will not believe it. The church of Saints Celsus and Julian was founded in the 9th century and was made a papal chapel during the pontificate of Innocent III (1198-1216).The original church was demolished and rebuilt at the request of Pope Julius II (1503-1513), who asked Donato Bramante to construc a more beautiful and bigger church. This project was not carried out due to lack of funds. Two centuries later, Pope Clement XII (1730-1740) decided to have the church rebuilt according to the project of Carlo de Dominicis. The new church is the one you see today and it was finished in 1735. Inside you will find peace and quiet. Beautiful frescoes, sculptures and paintings. A combination of religion, art, culture and history. I highly recommend visiting...

Uomo avvisato, mezzo...

Chiesa dei Santi Celso e Giuliano is located along Via del Banco di Santo Spirito, a short distance south of Ponte Sant' Angelo. Historically, it seems there was a church here in the early 11th century. However, what you find today is a rebuild by Carlo de Dominicis in 1735 along with restorations by Andrea Busiri Vici in 1868. The facade is elegant and the small nave lined with altars, nice artworks and subtle but definitely Baroque ornamentation. Worth a few minutes of your time to visit if you enjoy seeing old churches during your travels.
