In a city renowned for its abundance of culinary destinations, La Salumeria is carving out a name for itself with a masterful showcase of carnivorous delights. This is the place to be for the meat aficionados, the charcuterie enthusiasts, the foodies who savor high-quality cuts.

To begin with, their Mezze of Chianti, priced at a very reasonable 6€, is a revelation. It is a gastronomic ode to the traditional Italian sausage that pairs delightfully with the selection of meats and cheeses on their signature platter, 'il crudo.' For a meager 15€, you're invited on a journey through a landscape of flavors that will tantalize your palate and excite your senses. This ensemble, generously portioned for for one, or a great snack for two, invites diners to explore a symphony of tastes and textures that prove memorable in every sense.

No review of La Salumeria would be complete without a nod to their popular paninis, locally loved and respected. Priced at around 6€, these are another illustration of the eatery's commitment to value. They're crafted with attention to the perfect bread-to-filling ratio, making them an ideal option for a quick yet fulfilling bite.

One of the distinct features of La Salumeria is its self-service model. This, I believe, is instrumental in keeping prices low and the quality of the food consistently high. It's an ingenious setup that gives you the freedom to customize your food journey while keeping the focus squarely on the star of the show - the food.

In conclusion, La Salumeria is a food lover's oasis amidst the bustling streets, offering quality meats and cheeses that are undoubtedly some of the best around. With its affordable pricing, warm ambiance, and superb fare, it's the kind of place that draws you in for a meal and keeps you coming back for more. It's not just about the food here; it's about the experience of connecting with authentic Italian cuisine in a way that feels personal and genuine. So, the next time you find yourself yearning for some succulent charcuterie, you know where to head. You'll...

La Salumeria isn't just a sandwich shop; it's a charismatic culinary experience that immediately became my favorite in Rome and the second-best I’ve found in all my Italian travels. Tucked away with a small, yet inviting and charming atmosphere, this spot perfectly blends a fresh, modern aesthetic with old-world charm, emphasized by the cured meats hanging on display. It’s the ideal locale for a casual date or catching up with friends over a glass of local wine and a delicious bite.

My family and I managed to sample a fantastic selection, including the Keep Calm, Bacca Rossa, Williams, and Fico sandwiches, along with the generous Iberico Taglieri (charcuterie board). While everything was undeniably delicious, the Keep Calm and the Fico were the absolute standouts. The Keep Calm is a masterpiece of textural and flavor balance. It masterfully combines Prosciutto cotto with crema di radicchio, stracciatella cheese, cherry tomatoes (pomodorini), and rughetta (arugula). The creaminess of the stracciatella provides a luxurious base that is perfectly cut by the necessary acid from the tomatoes and the sharp, welcome bite of the red radish cream. It’s a composition that truly compliments itself and elevates simple ingredients to an art form. Not to be overshadowed, the Fico sandwich was another clear winner, thanks to the star element: the fig. Its rich, sweet flavor was absolutely delicious, providing an unforgettable sweetness that made the whole sandwich sing.

Beyond the food, the service truly sets La Salumeria apart. The guys behind the meat slicers were exceptional—friendly, genuinely willing to help, and clearly passionate about the great food they create.

If you’re looking for high-quality, perfectly balanced Italian sandwiches and charcuterie in a cozy, beautiful setting, this is the place. We highly recommend swinging by La Salumeria; you won't regret making it your own...

While having an easy day walking around enjoying the Rome and all its beauty, we stopped for some aperitive and La Salumeria was the perfect spot. Firstly sitting outside you are on a street yet it's very chilled as are the rest of the customers, a spot to easily sit happy under the sun.

Starting off with drinks we had a Aperol and a drink I'd never tried before, a Hugo spritz. When in Italy every Aperol Spritz is the best version of the drink you've ever had. However the Hugo spritz has now become my favourite spritz, with the many Italy has to offer. From the taste to the texture to the presentation, this spritz is a work of art.

Rome is full of so much culture, which you see at every turn and every bite, the food we had creates an explosion of flavour with every time; and you then realize you're having a different Italian food experience to what you thought you knew about this country's cuisine. If I were to return to Rome this is definitely a place to enjoy...
