Bar Novecentotredici — Restaurant in Rome

We went there only because we had coupons for breakfast from our booking nearby. Breakfast turned out to be a coffee and a croissant… Leaving the booking aside, the croissants they have and the coffee types are tasty, nothing to say negative about it! Not the best we had in Rome, but tasty. However the tables were always dirty, never cleaned properly at breakfast time. Ok, so place was busy and people were always coming and going, so I could oversee this aspect, since the food was good. My biggest problem was the servers were always shouting at you and hurrying you to order fast so they can skip to the next one. They would say what the have to offer quickly and you had seconds to decide at best, God forbid you should ask for a repeat of the offer! At least for me that was a very bad service, maybe for locals who know the people it works, but mai ly they seemed to have tourists visiting, so such an attitude seems...

Came here for breakfast because it’s included in our accommodation.

The blonde lady is extremely rude, and ignored me when she sees me walk in multiple mornings, but smiles at other customers when they walk in. And was wiping the bench crumbs onto me when I was standing right in front of it.

The lady refuses to heat up the bread we ordered, as it is our preference to have it slightly heated. She yelled at me for several minutes just because she can’t agree with it. And made fun of our preference.

The next day she refused to serve me, she would put my food on the bench instead just so she doesn’t tend to hand it to me personally. And have someone else do it.

Such a great place to have a breakfast! We came here on the first day (or better say the morning) here looking for a coffee place around the district and we fell in love with the atmosphere right away. I remember taking a sandwich (un panino) that looked more like a flatbread/wrap with sausage and rucola (or rocket salad). This was the tastiest savoury (!) thing I've ever had for breakfast. I couldn't resist to come here on the last day of the trip to have it again. Also we came to buy a cake on the second day to celebrate my wife's birthday and it was scrumptious. The service was ok, I guess they are just busy with the constant flow of visitors, still polite...
