I'll preface this with we were a relatively large group (5 adults 3 kids), however we had made a booking. We walked into a (mostly) empty restaurant and were asked to order relatively quickly, which we were happy to do as the food looked great on the menu. They brought the kids meals out relatively quickly with the entres, however they had brought out the incorrect entres. Instead giving us kids french fries as a starter. We ended up waiting over one and a half hours for our mains. My wife's cappriciosa pizza consisted of a single lonely slice of prosciutto layed lazily amongst a multitude of unpitted olives upon a layer of thick tomato paste upon a burnt pizza base. My brother in law and I received bleu tagliata after ordering medium (I don't know why it took so long for bleu meat). My sister in law's goulash was basically rice and 2 slices of meat on top a puddle of broth. I will say that my other brother in law and his wife's carbonara and saltimbocca were done quite well. However in the time we waited several parties who came after us were served their food. I will say the wait staff seemed quite nice, but it was disappointing to have to eat while others in our group waited another 20 minutes for food (after already waiting to start because we thought they'd...

My partner and I had dinner here tonight. They charge for the bread (which is fine), but we didn’t want any bread. The server told us it was mandatory for the table and the charge. We honestly didn’t touch it, and they charged us. We ordered the lamb with potatoes, the sole with lemon butter, and a boiled artichoke. We waited for about 30 minutes for our food. My partner received her lamb about five minutes before I received my sole. The potatoes her lamb was served with were cold. The lamb was served on the bone with very little meat. Finally the sole arrived. It was just okay. Sole is a delicious fish, so I ate it, but no culinary skill went into preparing the dish at all. My partner is a chef; we are major foodies and this restaurant fell extremely short of our expectations. I told the server we didn’t enjoy our meal, but he ignored my comment. We left and ordered Chinese food. Which gave us way more satisfaction than Il Colibri. Hands down, worst 40€ I spent...

We arrived to the restaurant after reading the great reviews. We ordered our drinks but ended out waiting 50 minutes for the waiters to ask us for our refreshments. After 1h20 minutes the canned drinks finally arrived. The other people at the restaurant were having the same issue. A lot of them left the restaurant, after waiting for a table (20min) and then waiting 35 minutes before being asked for their drinks. The food arrived right after the cold alcoholic drinks even though we requested to have the food after the apritif. We asked them to let us finish our aperitif but they refused and called the manger who started screaming in 3 languages. They told us to either eat it straight away or to leave. So we left... Before leaving we decided to pay because we wanted to be better than them. We ended paying a lot of hard earnt money for two canned drinks. The staff were ungrateful and very rude.I gave this one star because I can't put a 0. Steer away...

Very disappointed by our dinner experience at Il Colibri after all of the positive reviews online. Firstly, my party of 2 people waited outside in a line for 25+ minutes without being acknowledged by the staff or added to a waitlist on a Tuesday night. There were no apologies for the wait and the staff just avoided eye contact with us, even as we reached the front of the line. Once we were seated, we requested to place our order and the initial server noted this but kept doing other tasks instead. We called over another waiter who took our order but did not stop by our table on his own. We both ordered a chicken cutlet with mozzarella, prosciutto, and tomato sauce for 17 euros each. The portions were small and the flavor was bland. This food didn’t taste restaurant-quality and the size was small for the price. Will never go back and left very irritated with our experience at this restaurant.

I found this lovely place on maps and didn’t expect it to be as magical! First of all, the wonderful aroma of flower tree growing nearby sets the mood. Inside of the restaurant is decorated with photographs of famous people who visited the place. The staff is so lovely and welcoming! They provide the menu in various languages, including German and Polish. We decided with chefs reccomendation for starters, in this case fresh mushrooms. I also ordered broth served with tortellini, ravioli and grilled beef with balsamico. The broth was exceptional. Ravioli, when it comes to the sauce had a very delicate milky taste, so if you’re a fan of neutral flavours this might be something for you. The beef was very good as well. We had a lovely chit chat with other guests and the staff, so I will remember this place and come back for sure. Oh and the bread served with appetizers - so so good!

We had no reservation but we were seated at 9pm by a very friendly waiter. We had the mixed antipasto platter (selection of cold cuts with exceptionally fresh buffalo mozzarella) then had the Carbonara and Amatriciana pastas. The amatriciana pasta had great depth of flavour with what seemed like handmade pasta and was excellent. The Carbonara was okay but I found it to be a bit too under al dente with the spaghetti being overly tough, the emulsion for the sauce was also decent but was slightly dry. Definitely think the flavour was good but just slightly missed the mark - would definitely recommend for the service/pricing and selection regardless. The montepulciano red wine (house) was very well priced and a nice addition to the meal. Would definitely return another time to try again!
