Pizza House a Roma dal 1975 — Restaurant in Rome

Left and came from a place literally 1 minute down the road as it was dodgy, and after reading it's reviews put me and my other half right off.

Walked a minute up the road, this place we were persuaded to go inside and eat. However, Inside looked pleasant, so we gave it a shot.

Upon ordering the food and only then did i decide to look at the reviews, a stomach churning moment hit us.

Around 200+ reviews, all 1 star was a nightmare. They all state exactly what I'm going to say now.

DO NOT EAT HERE. DO NOT FEED INTO THIS SCAM.

This place WILL pull the wool over your eyes.

Not only do they overcharge you for the items that you order which infact are not worth the value given. They will try and be sneaky and will overcharge you for items you'd think would be cheaper.

For example,

two pasta dishes, 28 euros. The size was ridiculous, and the food was no different from something you'd get from a ready meal that costs about £3 each.

2 sprites from a can, totalled 10 euros. Ridiculous. When in the local supermarkets, they're 80c each!

They will try and rob you for as much as they can while keeping within the realm of practicality. They offered bread at the start, and I had immediately turned that down, as I might of had to go into my overdraft to afford it.

Embarrassing.

How this place hasn't been shut down is beyond me.

The problem is, who is going to check their Google reviews or any reviews before going into a restaurant when its raining, you're wet and hungry.

Do not eat here. It is NOT worth it. Do not get robbed like many...

Multiple red flags here.

The waiter was extremely pushy and practically pressured us to eat there. They also serve burgers and carbonara while claiming to be an "authentic" Italian restaurant and charge a whopping 7€ for simple potatoes on the side of an already ordered (and separately paid) meat, both of which are bad signs in and on themselves as well. The menu was also very limited compared to regular restaurants in the area.

The food took forever to arrive (multiple tables were served before us although we ordered before them and had relatively simple meals) and when it did, it was mediocre at best and honestly just all around disappointing. Don't let the pictures on the menu and storefront fool you.

Oh, but the disappointment doesn't end there of course! When we left, there was an unexplained 7€ charge and the bill was (seemingly intentionally) written to be very confusing with added and removed extra charges. When my grandmother stopped to look at the price summary while we paid, the waiter literally snatched it out of her hand and left swiftly as soon as the payment was approved by the bank.

If you're looking for an actual quality experience and need some time to decide on the place and your order, please don't even look the way of this restaurant and its waiters. Just walk swiftly by, or better yet,...

Not sure why I received high bill.

Ordered (Price was according to their menu)

INSALATA CAPRESE 10 Euro ENTRECOTE DI MANZO Al FERRIC 22 Euro Vegetable side (Not sure) 2 pc of bread (Not sure) 2 cans of Coke Zero (did not know how much they charge).

Charged me for 60 Euro. Receipt was 54 something, but he added to 60 Euro.

Plus, server asked me order a side....so, I was assuming it included.

Ordered the meat for medium-well done, but the steak was not able to chew. I told him that the meat was not good

He forced me to write a Google review for 5 Stars, but I can't.

Overall, their foods are very standard, and lastly he spoke Chinese language to me and asked me if I were from China.

Please do not judge the people from how they look.

Should educate how to treat people better than rip my check off.

(Did not order additional foods. I only ordered one more Coke Zero. Server told me that veggies come with the steaks. I asked the receipt but he did not give it to me.
