Caffetteria Ruberto — Restaurant in Rome

The service was really bad. There were two sandwiches on the menu, one for 3.50 euros and the other for 5.50 euros... I asked the attendant what was the difference between the sandwiches and he said impatiently that the sandwiches are sandwiches, however, there were several types of sandwiches in the window . As he didn't make it clear I pointed out which one I wanted in the window and asked the price, he didn't answer either. So I pointed to the menu and ordered the sandwich which cost 3.50. However, at the time of charging they charged me the 5.50. The person who billed me was not there when I placed the order and even then he was extremely arrogant and impatient. I felt a total lack of respect especially from the two men who work there. After trying to talk to resolve it, I couldn't, anyway, I paid what they charged...

It was an awful experience. The waitress was incredibly rude, she even rolled her eyes at us when one of the customers stated she could tend to us first because we had already been waiting for a while. The food is regular, certainly does not compensate the over 40€ we spent just to be treated poorly. If you wanna get a real Italian espresso at real Italian cafeteria, and next to Vatican, there is no better place. Fast service, at the counter, like a place for morning coffee or for a quick bite, with a tables where you can sit and even take to read a local newspapers.
