I read really good reviews and thanks to this had high expectations. As I was travelling all night to Rome and arrived very early, I informed staff if I could put my luggage in hotel around 8-9am. They kindly confirmed this(there is no reception or stuff available all the time, so be sure you inform when you are coming) because it was also breakfast time then.||||Me and my friend arrived in front of hotel little bit before 8 am but there was noone. You have to ring a bell and there is no signs around, that hotel is in this building. So finding it is little bit tricky.||||We waited half and hour outside of the door. Tried to call to their phone, but nobody was answering. As I was travelling all night I was very tired and me and my friend just sat on the street there. ||||Finally someone answered to phone and said, he will be there in a minute. Someone showed up like 9.10am. So, despite asking early check in, we had to wait more than an hour on the street and also it messed up our day schedule. Although, stuff apologized, it was hard to make happy face.||||I'm not needy so the rooms and guest house itself was nice and comfy. Rooms were big but nothing special. It was little bit dirty as there was some noodles on the wall... Bathroom was ok but shower had no pressure and no hot water. Also no soap or something like that. But it did have a hairdyer. Breakfast was just a crossaint or toast with tea, coffe or juice. Stuff will come to knock your door and asks, what you would like to have.||||As we rushed out to city after check in, we told we are coming back around 5pm (e still didn't got keys). Unfortunately we had some problems and we were back around 3pm. Calling back again to stuff number, a lady answered and promised to be there soon. As we waited outside again, some other people came who had waited to do check in too, but nobody had answered to them. Lady (sadly don't remember her name) was kind and spoke good english. She was helpful. Also, the hotel location was super good. ||||Overall I think I shouldn't have had so high expectations because price was cheap. If the stuff could have arrived on time in the morning, and rooms could have been more cleaner, I would have given...
Read moreNormally I am quite good at spotting poor quality accommodation but this one fooled me. Given the cost and the location I expected a decent room, this one was terrible. It was bare, shabby, ill equipped and not very clean. There was a hole in the bed cover and the curtains were torn ( this is because they did not open or close easily and had been damaged by people trying). The bed had only one thin poor quality pillow each. The room was bare and unwelcoming. the bathroom was just as bad, a small scruffy shower in the corner with water just hot enough to use. Not even a bar of soap let alone shampoo. Not a glass to drink from . The room is advertised with a shared kitchen. This was worst of all. It was dark, cramped and ill equipped. A few plates all of different shapes and sizes a some cutlery. Paint was peeling from the doos of the wall cupboard. If the cost had been half of what i paid I still would have felt overcharged and ripped off. Be warned, do not stay here, its...
Read moreMy wife and I stayed here for a few days on our honeymoon. Our entire experience of Rome was ruined by this place. Not only was the place not up to scratch (terrible wifi, stains and scuff marks everywhere, dirty shower and wet towel on the floor when we checked in, no coffee until conveniently on our last day, garbage bins directly out the window with nightly emptying making loads of noise in the middle of the night) but we also had 300 euros stolen out of a wallet that we had locked in the room. No accountability was taken by the owner or guesthouse operator, no investigating or questioning of the staff. We were basically just ignored. We ended making a police report and pursuing a claim via Air Bnb. Do NOT STAY HERE if you value safety and security at all. It's completely...
