I usually don’t leave low reviews, but I found it hard to enjoy this visit. Cute place (nice decoration), decent food, but in my experience, poor service for tourists.
For some context, my family and I are foreigners and don’t speak the native language. Others have pointed out this has also been an issue. Ever since we arrived, no one came to the door to help us.
We stood by at the entrance for a while, and since no one was helping us, decided to enter. We took an empty table and sat down. Again, no one batted an eye to take our order or guide us on the menu. We’ve been to other places where you must stand up and order your food directly at the counter. We went to where they made pizzas and asked for help. Maybe it wasn’t the correct way to order food, but so far we hadn’t been attended.
We asked the ladies at the counter in both Spanish & English and got no response. The cashier told us to go back to them and order. We went back, waited, and after a while finally could finally order food. The pizza was cold (although it’s served like this in some places, we weren’t asked for a choice), but otherwise fine. Another table (who arrived much later) was actually seated upon arrival, and even served before us.
We tried to be patient all throughout, for this was our first dinning experience in the city and were kind of lost. Very cute and clean place, however, I was disappointed by the service at first as a foreigner. I know it can improve, since it might’ve been late in the day and the workers may have been too busy. Regardless, my family and I felt slightly angered and...
Read moreI really enjoy Italian coffee and pastries, but I was disappointed with the poor customer service I received from a particular café. When I arrived, no one greeted me or asked me what I wanted to order. Even after waiting for 5 minutes, no one approached me, so I had to approach a server to ask for a pastry. When I told her I would be staying to enjoy my order with my friend who had already ordered a coffee, she refused to takend asked me to wait at the table. Unfortunately, even after waiting for 40 minutes, no one came down my order ato take my order. I eventually left the café without any coffee or pastry. My friend ordered and paid for his coffee, but the server refused to take my order. As a foreigner, I felt unwelcome and disappointed with the service. I don't think I'll be going back to...
Read moreWe have been here for breakfast today. The lady at the cassa has not been the friendliest person in Rome ( sitting the typing on her phone bored) but never mind. The coffee was good and I ordered waffles and big pieces of focaccia. The lady who served the focaccia asked us if we wanted them to be heated and I agreed. Big mistake, because she forgot that she put them in the oven and after a while she took out partly burned foccoacia. She did not notice that we saw her cutting the burned part and throwing it away and afterwards serving it to us, when there was left only half of the focaccia I payed for. I don’t understand, why not mention what happend and just cut a new part instead of serving half what the customer paid for and trying to hide that....
