We (2 adults) went to this restaurant as recommended by a local lady we bought Tiramisu from her store. She said it's one of her favourite places to eat. It was also nearby our hotel, less than 15 minute walk.
It was for a Wednesday evening and we made reservations a couple of hours before on their website. Lucky we did because it was quite busy inside and outside and they asked for reservations as well from you, otherwise it may be a slight wait.
The server we had spoke English, which was nice. We sat outside because it was a beautiful evening and they also had heaters on for when it gets cool. Their menu is straightforward and had lots of good variety.
Ordered the cheese plate to start with and my partner ordered the cacio e pepe and I got the matrciana pasta along with wine. They also had the bread basket, which was extra.
The cheese plate was soo yum with different types of cheeses to eat and their jam. My partner loved their cacio e pepe and couldn't stop raving about it. My matriciana pasta was also good. All the plates were pretty decent portions and I took my pasta back because it was a lot. Would have loved to try their deserts, but we were too full.
It was a lively place to be, from couples, friends, and families at their outdoor seating and indoor area. I would recommend trying, their prices also seemed decent and the servers were...
Read moreI went here with my parents after researching highly rated places to eat in Rome. I called to book ahead for a table right when they opened. We arrived early and waited outside until they let us in. The restaurant looked interesting but the ambience was a little dry and quiet. We ordered the fried meatballs (dry and not so tasty), cacio e pepe pasta (really tasty and good portion), rigatoni with matriciana sauce (not bad), rolls with sauce ( big portion so gave a big appetite), and sides of mixed salad and scarola with raisins, pine nuts and olives (really tasty).
If you have sensitive teeth, don’t order the pasta (al dente). My dad had a hard time enjoying his food because this. The portions are big so be careful to not over order!
The waiters are kind and attentive enough. I didn’t give this place five stars because in my opinion, everything came out average and just ok. Good meal but I wouldn’t go back. Would give it a...

The restaurant was recommended by our airbnb host as an expensive neighborhood restaurant serving typical Roman fare. Expensive it's not, by our NYC standards. Roman it is by the simplicity and flavors of this epicurean delight of a city (try the 'trippa romagna' tripe). What a treat! Impeccable service and special treatment we got made it truly memorable. We had walked in with no reservations and could see no empty tables outside and peeking in it looked full. The host asked if we had reservations, when we said 'no' he looked really disappointed and asked us to wait and went inside. He came out a few minutes later and asked us to follow him. He seated us on a high table for four in a packed room. We soon realized it was a private party but he had somehow wangled us a table. Now you tell me is that...
