To start with, we requested to sit inside as we have kids (pre-teen) and we know smoking is very common in Europe and sitting outside means we have to put up with smokers. But we were convinced by one of the waiter to sit outside instead. It wasn’t busy at all. There’s plenty of seats on the inside and outside. And of course, after we ordered, the table behind us started smoking and we all had to put up with the smoke. The food was good. We like the Shrimp fried rice and the Crunchy Tempura rolls. The Udon noodles is ordinary. The tuna sashimi is fresh. All was good except the service. I read the google reviews and everyone said how good the services were. We were there for lunch but this is not the service I would rate as exceptional. It wasn’t even close to good. The food is 4 stars but the service is 1 star. Why did I rate that? Our kids had an accident on the folding table and the soft drinks bottle tipped and spilled on the table and on the floor (outdoor). The waiter was standing at the front door next to our table, arms folded and do nothing but just watched. We managed to clean the table ourselves with the serviette from the table setting. We wasn’t offered any extra serviette for cleaning nor for replacement. Basically, we wasn’t being offered any kind of help/service at all. Our lunch bills come to €170 and we still tip €20 to the waiter which we felt he doesn’t deserve it. Not sure we were treated this way because we have kids or because we are Asian. Oh by the way, our kids are 10 and 12yo. And no, we will not come back because we don’t like the service.

Here are some impressions about this place that might be useful. 1) The restaurant is located on a cozy square, has a stylish black interior and a neat veranda. 2) The menu has various appetizers, sushi and ramen soups. The soups seemed tasty and close to traditional cuisine. I recommend to try Tokyo Shoyu ramen and Spicy Miso ramen. 3) The manager at the entrance (a bald gentleman) was very rude. When we arrived, there were 3 free tables inside and a served bar counter. However, he said that there were no tables. The manager did not offer to wait, but I insisted on it myself. After that, I was offered to stand for 10 minutes and literally immediately the table was found. The couple who came after us were refused even before they stepped through the door, so they left. This manager is an example of amazing amateurism, while all the waiters in the room were wonderful and polite. 4) Of course, the prices in the restaurant are high. This is dictated by the central location and the large number of tourists. Of course, ramen soup does not cost 16-20 euros and the beer does not cost 10 euros for sure.

After a long week in Venice, which lacked diversity in their food scene, I needed something outside of Italian cuisine. Kisaki Ramen was our first stop in Rome, and I was so glad that I found this place. This restaurant offers very authentic Japanese ramen. The broth is rich, the ramen noodles are bouncy, and the half boiled egg was perfect. My wife stuck with a more traditional style of ramen (Hokkaido Miso), while I had to venture out and try the beef ramen. The broth was very beefy, and I enjoyed the chunks of beef. We also ordered the Oishi spicy sake roll, which is essentially your maki but without the seaweed. It was filled with salmon and avocado and paired with Sriracha and spicy mayo. I dropped one star from the service because the sushi came out much later after our ramen. I was nearly done with my bowl by the time it was out, and there were only two other tables at the time. The server also forgot the bowls for soy sauce. Minor offenses, but not perfect. Excellent restaurant if you're looking for Japanese cuisine. I highly recommend and would happily return.

My wife and I visited this restaurant on Saturday and were appalled by how we were treated by one of the employees. I'll go ahead and say at the start, the food was pretty good. I had spicy ramen and enjoyed it. My wife had the soba and said it was mediocre. We also ordered gyoza which was good. We both think the food was way overpriced.

Now that that is out of the way, whoever visits the restaurant must know how horribly we were treated by one of the employees (and I don't state that lightly). Along with the food mentioned above, we also ordered a California flower roll. The food that we did receive came out about 15 minutes after we ordered. All of our food had been brought out except the sushi and after we ate (about 20 min), we were about ready to leave and still hadn't received the sushi, so we figured we'd get the check and go. Altogether, we were in the restaurant about 45 minutes and never received our whole order. We got the check from a tall older man with grey hair (possibly the head waiter) and saw that the sushi was listed despite having never received it. So we called him back over and told him that we never received the sushi but won't need it anymore as we had decided to leave. He was confused and went to the sushi bar and brought the sushi to us and tried to pressure us into taking it to go, even saying that he'd have to explain why the sushi was thrown away to his boss. Also note that another female waiter brought out the rest of our food but must have forgotten to bring out the sushi, so it was probably sitting back there for a little while. After being pressured to purchase the sushi as well and take it to go, which I reluctantly agreed to, we waited a few minutes and it still hadn't been brought to us. I walked to the other side of the restaurant to discuss my concerns with the same older man and he turned irrate, rude, and beligerent. He backed me into a corner and could not believe that I didn't want to purchase the dish. I stressed to him multiple times that despite having time to eat all the rest of our food, the sushi still hadn't been brought out, and we couldn't wait and needed to go. He told me how bad of a customer I was and that it was wrong for me to do this. He said it doesn't matter where I'm from, it is wrong for a customer to do this (more on this later). After questioning me some more, he angrily and forcefully removed the sushi from the order and charged my card. I never once gave that man a reason to treat me so horribly and I even stayed completely calm and collected the entire time. Afterwards, we left quickly for fear that he would start yelling at us. We were both shocked at what had just happened.

Whoever reads this should know that we are Americans and where I'm from simply canceling a dish, especially one that was never even served to us, is never a reason to mistreat and berate a customer. I do not recommend this lightly, but based on how we were treated, I wholeheartedly believe that that waiter should be fired. I have never in my life been treated in such a horrible way at...

Add comments after the owner’s reply.

As you could notice that I am Asian. Then you can imagine how many different ramens I would have eaten and experienced sushi at the level of omakase.

I don't know if the person who left the review on the same day had that experience and wrote it, but I want to say again that my thought is different from the person’s review

Since the name of this restaurant was ramen and sushi, so I thought about which one to choose, and I decided to choose ramen because I saw that REAL wasabi was not used in the picture on the menu. (I believe you know what is the real wasabi I said)

After I decided to choose ramen, I looked at the menu and I was a little worried because tonkotsu ramen wasn’t there. (I also know why you don’t make tonkotsu ramen) So, I chose shio ramen, which doesn't cook longer than other ramens, because I could enjoy the original flavor of the basic ingredients.

However, for me, the balance of broth and toppings was a little different from what I knew about shio ramen. Also, when I saw that all the ramen toppings were the same, I put down my chopsticks.

I know it's not easy to use real wasabi. But you can make different toppings for each ramen. And if you use the same seaweed, it would be better to remove the shio ramen on the menu.

AND, the service… The young waitress was good. She kept trying to smile and concentrate on her guests. But, the mid-aged, tall waiter had always an angry face so he made us very uncomfortable. If she arrived earlier, I wouldn’t have reviewed your restaurant like this.

Guests always meet the waiter/waitress first before having...
