The only star I'm putting is for the food, which was sublime. What I didn't like is how they adressed me: I arrived there a few minutes before the hour I booked, which by the way it was for day before but they canceled it because apparently there was some kind of event. Anyway when I arrived the waiter who was super nice let me wait inside as it was december and freezing outside. So far so good, but when the guys who seemed the owners arrived asked me what I was doing there, with an arrogant look (specially the man). I guess eating, that's what you do at a restaurant. Then suggested me to wait outside as there were missing 10 mins to my booked time, to what I kindly asked why couldn't I wait at any of the prepared tables, almost begging for it. All the places were free but they made me sit at the closest one to the door, so every time someone was entering I was freezing inside. At the end, no apologies nor compensation for their behavior, not even a thank you for having eaten there.

Read moreLucky find. We were looking for a place for lunch and this was close to our hotel so we took a chance.
FOOD: Get try roman specialties on one plate: meatball, wrapped meat, and ox tail. These were fantastic. The sauce was excellent, not salty or sweet, and I liked how they poured sauce over the meat; more than enough to soak it with bread. Lamb liver and intestines were even better. No foul aroma or weird texture. Cooked just right with perfected marinated. Everything went well with the house wine.
PRICE: Average price (actually better than some touristy spots). Three dishes, a small bottle of wine, water, and bread were around €50.
SERVICE: Friendly service. Explain all dishes and made good recommendations.
LOCATION: No parking and may be difficult to find, but google map will get you close enough.
OVERALL: recommend for lunch or dinner in you are near...
Read moreWent here because of the good reviews. Sooo disappointed. Sunday evening at opening time. Young male server, indifferent, at best. We thought maybe because we didn't speak Italian, but then we watched him plop down 3 menus at the next table - for 6 people! They all spoke Italian, as did the table behind us, that got menu for quite a while. That would all be okay if the food was good. NOT. Stale bread. Zucchini flower appetizer was greasy. Smelly greasy. Oxtail entre was so tough it splattered everywhere trying to cut it. I thought it was just me, so I traded dishes with my wife. She then ruined her shirt with stains trying to cut it. She said it did taste good though. Her dish that I finished was pasta with asparagus and guanchale. Good pasta. Asparagus mushy. Guanchale crunchy - I guess meant to be? We didn't stay...
