Edit following owner response: Pretentious is defined as “attempting to impress by affecting greater importance, talent, culture, etc., than is actually possessed.” I cannot think of a better word to describe your restaurant. As in: Your wait staff seems to think this is a high brow establishment with a palette too defined for us common folk. We were ignored for most of our visit and were coldly received when we were acknowledged. The pistachio ice cream (that I was, in fact, given! The location in Prati is perfect for anyone wanting to find a real gem of a restaurant close to the river and not very far from the Castel Sant'Angelo, the Vatican, and other locations. We chose to dine outside the first time and indoors the second, and enjoyed the ambience in each case. The food was superb--simply superb. The serving was smaller than some of the other pasta dishes I had in Rome however was probably less casual than those restaurants and it would be perfect with the normal Italian meal (first course, second, desserts etc).
