This place is the best bang for your buck for true unaltered and finely prepared Italian food. A multiple course lunch menu that will fill you up for just 10€ - Make sure to order the tiramisu. This place is a true glimpse into daily modern Italian life at the lunch hour.
BUT-
First of all we waited almost an hour outside. Their opening hours are already very limited, be prepared for the likelihood that you may simply not get a table at all on any given day.
Secondly, service is heavily favored towards locals. I can honestly understand the bias towards locals, but when multiple groups of people that arrived after you waltz in before you just because you’re a tourist, it leaves a bad taste. Call me a tourist but I’m still a strong believer in first come first serve. There were a few less than pleasant details about the experience I’ll leave out because I can’t be 100% certain I’m right about them. Our waiter said all the right things while we were being served, but facial expressions and demeanor speak a lot louder than words. Ultimately, just don’t expect to feel even remotely welcome if you’re not a local.
Was it worth it? Yeah I’d say so, despite not feeling welcome, you will feel immersed and your appetite for both food and exploration will likely be satisfied for the day.
Would I go again? Not without an Italian friend...

This restaurant is the definition of local quality food. Be aware that the menu is only in Italian and that they only accept cash but we didn’t mind. Everything we had was exceptional from the house wine to the tiramisu. We ended up getting dinner there two days in a row and we ended up getting more blown away as we tried new stuff. Definitely try to red pesto pasta and carbonara! To top it off, the portions were big and everything was super cheap in comparison to everything else in Rome. This restaurant is a local gem you don’t...
Read moreIt's a small restaurant but very well managed service. I am vegetarian, they offered me to eat egg plant rolls in cheese and tomatoes, it was delicious. My brother ordered fried potatoes and chicken. He said, he never ate such a tasty chicken before in Rome. They give heart warming service in very affordable price. Decor in the restaurant is very simple but very pretty. You get Italian vibes
