We visited this restaurant near „Pontile di Ostia“ spontaneously in early November and were absolutely delighted! Although we arrived without a reservation at 12:00 and the restaurant was fully booked, the incredibly friendly staff went out of their way to find us a table for three—with a warm smile and no wait.
The atmosphere is stunning and perfectly suits the beachside location. You can immediately tell that a lot of attention has been given to details and creating a welcoming ambiance.
The food was simply a delight! We had a tender steak in rosemary sauce, served with fresh bread for dipping—a perfect way to enjoy every drop of the delicious sauce. The carbonara with crispy guanciale was a rich and authentic take on the classic, and the risotto crema di scampi was wonderfully creamy and full of flavor. Every dish was excellently prepared, perfectly seasoned, and of top quality. Portion sizes are just right for those who savor each bite—those who prefer larger portions might want to order an appetizer as well.
The prices, given the high quality, are truly fair and surprisingly affordable. After a beautiful beach walk in early November, this restaurant visit was a highlight and highly recommended. We will...
Read moreIt took me a while to post this but I thought it could help some people, I am not sure who is responsible for what happened but here we go. I was in this restaurant end of may 2025, my first solo trip and I wanted to reward myself with lobsters, I am not a particularly picky eater and I eat everything and my body takes it pretty well. I ordered the pasta with half lobster, at first it tasted good and had no issue, maybe it was too oily but all good. When islet that night I felt uncomfortable in my stomach but it was still ok then I woke up at 6am with the worst symptoms of food poisoning (I won’t picture it to you). It was so scary and serious I called the ambulance and they took me to the hospital. I stayed nearly two days in the hospital, and had 2x antibiotics IV, as well as rehydration ones and anti-vomiting medication.
I don’t know who is responsible for this, and if it is the lobster that was not good or anything, I am fine now, but this comment is to raise awareness as much to the restaurant than to tourists...
Read moreWe received our antipasti and then took, with no exaggeration, approximately 50 minutes (after we finished our antipasti) to receive our primi. We reminded our server we were still waiting during this hibernation - and was given no explanation, apology, let alone smile or nibble to keep us hanging. Three tables (adjacent to us, but perhaps more beyond our area) who arrived after us were able to receive their dishes and depart their meal before we received our long awaited pasta. Thank god we did not order secondi, as we had wanted to additionally add.
So approx 3 hours later for: 1 gamberi crudo, 2 pasta primi, on a Tuesday evening… we know to never return on our workday (or ever) as we are definitely a number and not a real human being customer, who was happy and eager to dine out at this restaurant.
It is ok when things get forgotten, an explanation would be...
