Pesce Fritto e Baccalà — Restaurant in Rome

The shop is little but is easy to find. Near the center square of commercial zone of Ostia, it pffer various dishes, about all of them with fish. I'm used to buy fried squid and shrimps, that is 12€ plus half of wine for 4 €. Yesterday was particular because some people did badmouth about first course pasta with shrimp, clams, mussel and tomato( Scoglio). Even this is for 12€ , really good and well cooked but you have to wait some minutes before eat it from the tray. Final, evaluation about shop is really good, almost eccellente: the service is fast and the owner is gentle and really helpful. She help tourist by giving information and often i'd seen her let people seat even if the chair seat are really not many in the restaurant. Outside there are about 26 place to sit while inside another 14 for a total of 40. Really a place to go for eating good fish by paying low price and getting big fish(, fried squid and shrimp about 350 g). You can est for less of...

If you're looking for a place where have excellent fry fish's dishes you won't be disappointed by this restaurant. Quality is outstanding, service fast and prices very competitive. The menu is wide enough while owner, waiter and chef have a really lovely behavior while keeping high working standards. If you're having a walk by the sea and simply would like to stop for a fast but tasteful meal this is the right place for you. You can also order take away and enjoy it by the sea which is just 50 meters far from it. If you're lucky enough and is not too busy there's room also for seat in there....

Mi sono fatto attirare dall'aspetto di questo piccolo ristorantino che ha solo posti all'esterno e sono entrato per ordinare una frittura mista di pesce. Prima cosa strana è che nel menu la frittura mista non c'è, ho chiesto se si poteva fare con moscardini, calamari e gamberi e la ragazza della casa mi ha detto che se ne possono scegliere solo due (faceva prima a dirmi di scegliere le opzioni del menù). Pago quindi con carta 9 euro di fritto e €1 di acqua Nepi. Mi metto a sedere fuori e poco dopo mi portano un piatto all'esterno, un piatto direi abbondante. I calamari però sono troppo duri e non si mangiano e i gamberetti (molto piccoli) non sono pelati. Secondo me mancano di sale, ho pensato che fanno così per chi vuole mangiare senza sale ma io non ho visto dove prendere il sale da aggiungere. Siccome il sapore non mi aveva soddisfatto ha deciso di dargli una seconda chance: ho preso il baccalà, volevo ripagare con carta ma mi ha detto che sotto una certa cifra accettano solo contanti (!). Sono arrivati poco dopo al tavolo 4 spiedini, anche questi insipidi (e non era facile con il baccalà). Unica nota positiva la velocità del servizio al tavolo, considerando che ad Ostia di street food veloce non ci sono tanti posti questa è una nota positiva. Comunque secondo me è tutto pesce congelato....
