Pepito's — Restaurant in Rome

Perfect! On our last evening in Rome we discovered this little restaurant in Trastevere and had a perfect last dinner. We ordered fried zucchini flowers, suppli, pizza Diavolo and pizza Margherita with anchovies. I asked for extra garlic and basil on my pizza which was no problem. If you have any extra wishes for the toppings of your pizza, they will fulfill them. The starters were good, freshly made and we also got some home made spicy sauce along with our starters. The English speaking waiter even explained the ingredients to us and was very friendly. The pizzas we ordered were thin, crunchy... simply good. A larger group of us (colleagues on a business trip) kind of stumbled upon Pepito's while trying to find excellent pizza near our hotel to celebrate a birthday. Pepito's did not disappoint!

The service was absolutely lovely (thank you, Francesco and team!). We were a friendly but loud bunch, and the staff were so very helpful and really gave us a fantastic experience.

The antipasti and pizzas were delicious. We ordered six different types, and all of them were fabulous. My favorite was the "boscaiola" (tomato, mozzarella, sausage, and mushroom), but the Pepito's special pizza was beautiful, as well. No one had a slice they didn't thoroughly enjoy.

We sincerely hope to return, and highly recommend...

Sono stato a cena con degli amici circa un mese fa. Ho chiesto una birra in bottiglia e mi è stato risposto dalla cameriera che non era possibile. Le birre in bottiglia erano solo per chi prendeva pizze da asporto, una disposizione del titolare. Ho insistito un pò dato che non bevo mai birra alla spina e lei mi ha risposto che avrebbe parlato con il titolare chiedendo se fosse possibile un'eccezione. Dopo qualche minuto torna e mi dice che assolutamente non era possibile, al che ho chiesto di parlare con il titolare per avere una spiegazione. Lui si è recato al mio tavolo e in seguito alla mia domanda del motivo per cui non potevo avere questa birra in bottiglia con molta arroganza mi ha risposto: " È una mia disposizione perché voglio vendere solo birre alla spina". Al che gli ho suggerito di scriverlo quanto meno in evidenza fuori dal locale. Dopo tale affermazione mi risponde:" cosa ti cambia?". Ed io, mi cambia che non mi sarei seduto qui. Infine esordisce con la sua grande ignoranza rispondendomi che mi potevo alzare e andarmene.
