We had a lovely dining experience at Ristorante Al Vecchio Mulino, just a short 5-minute walk from Roma Trastevere station. The ambiance was warm and inviting — perfect for a relaxed evening out.
We tried the Arrosto di Pesce, which was beautifully cooked and full of flavor, with a fresh, clean taste that really stood out. The Scaloppina al Limone was tender and had just the right amount of lemony zest without overpowering the dish. We also ordered the Spaghetti al Pomodoro, a simple classic done right — the tomato sauce was rich and vibrant, and the pasta cooked to perfection.

Not sure if they were open as they were preparing for a large party but we were welcomed in and shown a table away from the party. We shared a dish of mussels to start, fewer than normal and without any "soup". We then shared a carbonara, veal steak and salad. Nothing special and the salad was tiny for the 5 euros charged. The house wine was fine. The bill came to 51 euros....
