First thing first: this is a revolutionary trattoria for being open for seven days a week. Must be one of a kind. Coming to essence: don’t expect much ambiance in this traditional Roman trattoria but enjoy the food and the prices and the good service. It is a great example of a traditional Roman trattoria where food comes first. Their pizzas are right out from the oven, crunchy and tasty. They offer fresh fish, coming from nearby Anzio, fried or served with sauce. They also serve Argentine beef. It is triumph of kitsch when it comes to decor like most of Roman trattorias but when it comes to food they do miracles. Most clientele is neighborhood residences. I personally ordered the carbonara, and unfortunately, I found a piece of steel wool in it – the kind used for cleaning, made of metal and very noticeable. We called the manager and showed it to him. At first, he said he couldn’t offer any discount, even though our total bill was over €100. Later, he only offered to take €3 off, which we found quite disrespectful. After a long discussion, he finally removed the dish from the bill.
