Sciccherie Bottega & Vineria — Restaurant in Rome

It was the night of Roma vs. Leverkusen. This beautiful bar was half full, or half empty. I was keen on trying food and the wine here after reading about it. The owner was very kind and excitedly explained to us that there was some fresh Mozarella that we should try with tomatoes and ham! The entree was such a delight!! The meat was rich, and the tomatoes that tasted like spring.

We asked him for more recommendations- after some discussions, about flavours, likes, dislikes, fresh ingredients, etc., we agreed to our dinner and wine. Wow! What a gastronomical experience!

While we were enjoying our meal, he mentioned to us that there is a match tonight that he was about to see at the stadium, so he left with his dog. Entrusting us to this lovely lady from Napoli! Ho provato questa enoteca su consiglio di amici appassionati di vini naturali! Mi sono trovato molto bene sia nel bere che per mangiare! La proposta gastronomica è interessante, genuina e all'avanguardia: prodotti semplici e di ottima qualità ma giustamente abbinati! Mi è piaciuto tanto l'utilizzo che la Signora ha fatto delle erbette sulle alici marinate che oltre a deliziare il palato hanno reso più interessante anche la bevuta...l'uovo in purgatorio mi ha fatto ritornare con il pensiero a casa dei nonni la domenica a pranzo! Le verdure erano buone e saporite! Grazie al sommelier per il consiglio sul vino, azzecatissimo dopo avergli fatto delle richieste su quello che volevo trovare nel calice! Fermo restando che è diventato veramente difficile trovare a Roma delle realtà serie e preparate senza che abbiano la puzza sotto il naso e che questo non ha già prezzo, in questo locale penso che il rapporto tra servizio offerto, qualità dei prodotti, selezione dei vini e costo penso che sia più che giusto...in sostanza sono uscito da questo locale felice di aver speso ogni singolo euro! Un endroit superbe, légèrement à l’écart des attractions touristiques principales. Le propriétaire a été incroyablement gentil et généreux avec nous. Il a fait de son mieux pour parler anglais, nous expliquer le menu et les vins (bio / nature).

Comme nous avions du mal à faire notre choix, il a adapté ses meilleurs plats en petites tapas. Il a rapidement compris nos préférences en matière de vin et n’a pas hésité à ouvrir des bouteilles uniquement pour nous servir un grand verre. Un service incroyable !

Les plats étaient superbement exécutés, simples mais avec des ingrédients de grande qualité.
