After reading the reviews left by other guests, we remained puzzled and are wondering if we haven’t landed at another restaurant.
Service is virtually nonexistent. The waiters waltz in and out between the tables throwing food at you without telling you what it is and you’re not always sure it is what you have ordered (even after double checking the ordered dishes).
The only amiable member of staff was the one walking around with the churrasco meat. All the others seem to be overworked. One waitress even said “there’s only two of us, have some patience”. Looking around we can see at least 6 different waiters... but it’s true they might as well not be there for all the help they provide...
Food is average. Some of it is downright bad (salmon skewers with teriyaki sauce that arrived cold, for instance). The churrasco is good and probably the best thing in the restaurant (if on the fatty side).
So if you’re happy to get 70% of your order thrown at you, do not stand on ceremony (or quality) and all you care about is spending €23 for vast amounts of things to ingest (excluding drinks and desserts), then you’re in the right place.
If on the other hand you’re partial to pleasant and efficient service, you want to get what you order in a timely manner and the food tastes good, then We’d suggest avoiding this place. Like the...
Read moreLocation/Atmosphere: Huge restaurant. 2 floors. Nice area. Nice toilets.
Food/Drinks: Food is very good. They have good Brazilian meat, sushi is very good (especially now that they added more varieties), fish was better as it was done before (when you could choose and pick which piece from the list at the beginning of the menu, instead of choosing between those 3 or 4 options they have now). Best all you can eat I'd say.
Staff: The servers are nice, helpful, and friendly. But they tend to forget some of the sushi you ordered, as every all you can eat places.
Particular features: 2 floors. big place. Better to reserve in advance, especially at the weekend.
On a bad note: If you are not seating in a good place, you may not get the Brazilian meat service. More pricey than other sushi places.
Suggestions to the place: A lower price would be good! And choosing fish as it was...
Read moreChopsticks Parioli offers excellent food but with some room for improvement in other areas. The dishes were absolutely delicious—authentic Chinese flavors with fresh ingredients and beautiful presentation. We particularly enjoyed the food. The food alone is easily a 5/5!
However, the service and atmosphere were somewhat underwhelming. While the staff was polite, the service: inattentive at times. The ambiance was decent but lacked the warmth and energy you'd expect in a place with such great food. It didn’t quite match the quality of the cuisine.
Overall, if you’re looking for amazing Chinese food in Rome, Chopsticks Parioli won’t disappoint. Just be prepared for a more laid-back dining experience when it comes to service...
