Before visiting rome I had looked through several vegan restaurants and immediately after seeing the website knew we had to eat there. But no pictures or words could do this place justice. Though on the latter I'll do my best to formulate a concise review. The food: In a way it's impossible to put into words how astounding the food was on every level from presentation to theme to the taste itself. We both ordered the surprise dinner which consists of 10 courses, some of which are themed around specific tastes. My mother ordered one of their own wines and I had two of their non-alcoholic drinks. All of which was just perfect. An incredible amount of creativity went into creating each and every course, paired with the fact that they use all homegrown vegetables makes for dishes you will find undoubtedly hard to compare to anything you've tasted before. The Service: There was surprisingly not much waiting time between courses, but still enough for us not to feel rushed. The owner was always there to tell us exactly what is on the plate he brought us, open for questions of any kind regarding the dishes, the restaurant or just generally. But if you prefer not to engage in a conversation he wont force it on you as was the case with the other guests of the restaurant. Though I think your experience could only benefit from engaging in a conversation. The ambience: The first thing we noticed was everything from the tables, the lamps, the chairs up to the plates was all unique. And after several shorter conversations with the incredibly polite owner we learned that a lot of it was manufactured for this restaurant. Unsurprisingly this creates a very special ambience and experience. Also I don't really think I need to say this but it was very clean. The summary: Care, love and thought have gone into every part of this restaurant and if you're looking for a fine dining experience in rome then this is the place you have to go to. I suggest bringing time and an open mind, especially if you plan to order the 10 course surprise dinner.
