Let me start by saying that... I've never seen a greater disparity between the reviews and the actual product. My son is 5 years old and eats very few things. One of those is PIZZA, making him a kind of Pizza Connoisseur. So when we arrived in Milan, Italy, I didn't know what to expect. Lucky for us the pizza was delicious, same for Verona and Florence. And then we can't to this place Sfizo and based on the reviews, we were excited. Boy what a let down. My son took one bite and spit it out. I tried it just to make sure he wasn't being extra picky and geeez, I hate that for life I'll have to say that the worst pizza I've ever had was in Rome, Italy. It tasted like cardboard, no flavor, super greasy. I also ordered an arancino carne and it was awful. I did also try the arancino gorgonzola and this one was ok. I also ordered a croissant because people said they were delicious. Very bland as well. It's right in front of the train station so it's kind of a tourist trap. I would stay away from here not for the sake of eating bad Italian food, but for the sake of not eating bad food period. The coffee was good and the service and ambiance...
Read moreOrdered a “Cafe Americano” and received 3/4 cup of old, weak, tepid filter coffee for 3.50 euros. When I explained I wanted an espresso with water, the manager came to me to say I should have ordered a “lungo”and showed me a bag of pre-ground coffee with the word “American” on it. They were annoyed and ungracious, and uninterested that the coffee was old. They asked if I wanted my coffee removed from the table, (I said yes) but they did not offer to make it fresh. Customer satisfaction is not the priority here. Unlike the manager, the young man bussing tables apologized for the mixup and was very gracious, but he had no authority to make it right. (Btw, In Italy, caffè americano may mean either espresso with hot water or long-filtered coffee, but the latter is more precisely called “caffè all'americana” ( lit. 'American-style coffee'), not “cafe americano”.) On the plus side, they did allow me to charge my phone, for which I...
Read moreWent in,waited 10 minutes until they came at my service for coffee.I asked for 3 freddo and they started laughing and speaking Italian obviously mocking me ,and i didn't understand why, cause i obviously don't speak Italian. After three times showing the "freddo coffee" they have in the catalog (!!) and the guy behind the counter answering to me in Italian,i asked for english seemingly mad and he told me they have it in summer. Got 3 espresso's instead and now comes the good part. After 30 minutes in total, after waiting another 10 for the coffe and 10 to pay ,it was time to taste the coffee. It tasted like metal,we didnt even drink it,pure disappointment. The worst coffee by far i had in Rome, where by the way i tasted coffee from many Caffe's and all i have to say is that standards are high. Food must be good considering the...
